How old were you when you started to play the guitar?

As the title says, how old were you when you started to learn to play the guitar?

About 12 I think...

 

the first time i played a guitar i was like 10, but when i actually made myself sit down and start learning chords, i was 14.

I was either 6 or 7 when I got my first guitar...didn't actually play it then, just strummed on it with my favorite songs and I'd make up my own crappy ones. A few years ago...maybe when I was 13 or 14 I decided to pick up the guitar and play. It's been gradual, but I'm getting pretty serious with it now. Never had a lesson...just love to play

 

I think I was 16 when I first learned a few chords on guitar, but I'd already played several instruments since I was very young, so I picked it up fairly quickly. Still, I'm no great guitar virtuoso; just strum the appropriate chords to accompany my singing.

 

Tought myself at 12

 

that seems to be the magic age for most !!

 

I started when i was 15 and i havent stopped since. Tony Iommi's music really got me intrested in the guitar so i started out with metal but i moved away from that and my main influences are classic rock and psychedelic music i.e. Pink Floyd and Jefferson Airplane. But to sum it all up guitar was the best thing that ever happend to me

 

I was 17. Still trying to learn all the Bach I can

 

I first started in October 2005 and have played every single day since then!
