theres quite a few of mean posters round here especially in Hippie Haven review sect.

My father lives in Eugene OR and wants me to move out there for university -- so I was checking out the Hippie Haven review section for Eugene and...people are so mean -- first off why does everyone gotta knock everything and everyone?....i thought people were about peace, not being jerks...of course not all of them were jerks but there was quite a few posting....I dont even know why someone who hates alternative lifestyles would wanna come to this site to post stuff....-- Okay just had to get that off my chest!

what do you mean what am i talking about? its there clear as day..people just seem kinda mean in that section - towards one another -- its not a big deal or anything -- it just puzzling why someone with the user-name such Hippie Killer would want to be posting on the forums here...it seems as though their sole objective is to piss other people off and knock them down, their beliefs, and their life just for kicks....thats all i'm saying -- here's the link to the review -> http://www.hippy.com/review-91.html

Comment: yeah, the country fair is pretty much a get together of people who are stuck in the 60''s (or wish they were alive in the 60''s). They dig out their dusty hippy clothes that probably lay in a box right below their Gap sweaters and Abercrombie And Fitch shirts hanging in their closet and pretend to be open minded and one with nature. Their idea of being open minded is accepting your point of view as long as they agree with it. The OCF has become such a joke beginning about 12 years ago. It actually used to be cool, but its just plain stupid now.

yeah about the drugs -- i dont know why everyone is all up in arms about it-- if one doesn't like that certain drug then i gotta solution for them -- dont do it...but for the people that do like it, do it--..im not saying you have to be a druggie to identify with the hippie culture, but people should at least have respect for one another's beliefs and opnions about which ever drug....as for myself i enjoy Mary and if anyones got a differing opinion they dont have to do it...

i know that the mean ones aren't real deal hippies -- its just sucks that some of the posters here just wanna bring everyone down is all...

You are quoting things that were posted over a year ago. I am pretty sure "Hippy Killer" was banned a long time ago. I don't know if the other one is here anymore either.

People are always going to be assholes. If someone attacks you, or an other poster on THIS site, use the "Bad Post" button (looks like a triangle with a ! in it, at the bottom of every avatar space) and report the infraction.

 

Dont let it get you down....hang out in the gay and trans forums and you will find a lot of hate and meaness from time to time being laid out in threads by those calling themselves hippies.....let it slide off your back and watch Karma land on them ...it might take some time...but it will happen.

There are a few meanies all over this forum. I've even fallen a time or two, usually because some meany has finally gotten my goat. And I know it doesn't exactly feel good to "report" on someone. Too much like narking... I think the best way to deal with it is just to lay on them what you think, hopefully without stooping to their level, and if they persist, shunn them. Shunning is a great way to deal with it, and if more folks would do it, the meanies would find that all their rotten posts would simply go unanswered.

 

Well,I moved here because my kids like it here and there's a lot to do any night of the week.Just like anywhere else,there are good and bad people and of course,we all try to stay away from the bad.I think some folks just feel left out and want to denigerate others when they can't actually be like them.Then there's the republican types who can't quite think for themselves and are parroting their parents and seem to have taken their lead from the current govt and come off as unnecessarily mean.If you moved here,I'm sure you'd find good people to hang with and have some good experiences.Good luck-----------
