That those people who knock on peoples doors who try and change your religion and what not don't come around more often on halloween. Or maybe they do and are well aware to stay the hell away from my house. Nah, that can't be it, I'm always really nice to them, I just tell them all about the universe.
Omg those people piss me off so much!.........it's like their nice and all....but it's like...don't push your religion on me man...but when they stop me in the street..and come to my door, i'm nice to them...it's sorta hard to be mean to them..
i'm never mean to em, but when they say can i come in and talk to ya about god, i always have a good responce 'sure, if i can talk to you about witchcraft' 'sure, but my place os clothing optional' 'sure, but we're just gettin the daily orgy started' damn just realized they havent come by in 3-4 years..lol guess it worked
oh man, i want one. we don't have them here. it'd be cool to make up some radical ridiculous religion, with a box full of little things to demonstrate it, speeches and stuff, brochures, and dress up like some kind of animal, with a big animal head and everything... and go door to door... fucking with people's minds... i wonder what they'd do? i wonder how many would let you in? that would be so fun.
Well... I'd do something like that, but it wouldn't be a religious cult... just a running joke and a social organization.
do you mean the mormon missionaries? they come to offer help and if you ask them not to bother you anymore, they won't... (a large portion of my family is mormon, i'm not defending the religion, i'm just saying). On the other hand, I don't support the idea of missionaries from any religion. they go to foreign countries and help out (which is good), but try to convince people of their beliefs. Stuffing your culture down other people's throats is wrong. I just think its disrespectful to try to change a culture on purpose.
yeah, not something i'd take seriously, just something really out there with weird logic to support it... just to test how far people's respect and politeness go...
Well, no matter what, the basis of any religion is love and as long as no harm is done through-- I see it from a different angle as there's no reason to complain about grouping foreign people to form diverse understandings. I don't see missionary status as forcing anything. All you should be doing is following your own beliefs (by improving yourself, you improve society and those around you) as a benefit and society as a benefactor. You don't have to agree with a word I say, but if there's anything I can tell you, a divided (but deemed united) country does not have the answers for the nations of Africa, South America, Asia, or any third-world continent or country. I feel that those who use their religion as a hyperbole to pull or rule over God-given logic will pay for their actions sooner or later.
the Jehova people come here like every saturday.. but this one guy always comes to look at my art.. abd he buys a fair bit of it too.. so i guess it all works out.. strange thing is they know im a witch
A lot of charity aid is actually dependent upon the recipients converting. It kind of is a little reminicent of extortion.
me and my best friend were hitting on the mormons that came to our door on their little mission thing. we did it just for laughs, but i guess they really dont beleive in premarital sex.
Two of my best friends from school are Jehovah's Witness, against their will... A lot of them are pushed into it and can't leave, and they're required to knock on doors for at least 8 hours a month... They can't really get out of the religion or their families disown them... Half the people in it are in it because they can't help it, so... As annoying as they are... I don't think that I, personally, would hold it against them. However, I still think it's a cult, etc, etc... So. and.. maybe they don't knock post-halloween because it's too cold ahha
a few years ago my dad wished a couple of Jehovah's Witness who came knocking on our door, a Merry Christmas.. (he forgot that they didnt celebrate) they didnt come back for a long time..
