Meriel will be three tomorrow!! I don't know where the time has gone. It's been so much fun these last few years. Everything Jenny taught me about parenting had to go out the window when it came to dealing with little sister, yet they are still so much alike in many ways.

three years ago today my mucous plug came out in one gigantic glob right before DH was getting ready for work. I tried to go back to sleep and just couldn't. I couldn't let him go to work, either. So I called The Farm and told them I was on my way and planned to be there around noon. There was an electric charged feeling all around me, I knew something was going to happen soon, and I knew it would be good. I had no doubts about my plans to vbac, wasn't worried about the four hour drive that usually took five or six hours because of food and pee stops along the way. And for the very last time, the three of us sat down in a restaurant for a meal as a family. Tomorrow there would be four (but at the time I figured I still had another week to go).

    WOW!

make that a shot of tequilla in orange juice for me, please!!

at least my mother and mother in law did not both show up for the party (I'd have lost my freakin mind). MIL came an hour early, and my mom came two hours late.
Now, the horrendous talking cheerleader doll MIL got for her... :puke:

my birth stories are both in the sticky at the top of this forum. If you've read either of Ina May's books (she has a third one coming out soon, I hear), my story isn't really much different from any of those. :D

Bleh! Does she like it? If she didn't like it or even notice........My kids used to get so many presents at times, that I could secrete a few away, and put them in the Toys for Tots bin and no one would be the wiser.

she loves the horrid thing. It says things like "we're number one, we can't be number two, cause we're gonna beat the stuffing out of you"

Oh, well. Could be worse.......could be a Paris Hilton doll. ;) She'll eventually get tired of it. My kids have has some toys I wasn't all that crazy about, they eventuallly do outgrow them. There are things that you simply don't like and others that simply cannot be tolerated. I saved dolls like that cheerleader for the former and things like toy guns for the latter. (Meaning I'd personally tolerate the stupid cheerleader, but not allow guns, but every mama and daddy has thier tolerance point. Where that is is up to you. :) ) Rah Rah!!!!

She's already lost interest in it. I think it was My reaction that made the doll so much fun! LOL

I'm not looking forward to weeding through doll collections....BAH! I HATE the Bratz doll phenomena. I'd rather peel my fingernails off than allow those nasty things in my home. My mom thinks I'm overreacting, but I don't want to teach materialism, slutty dress, and "bling" to my daughter before she's old enough to understand it, you know?

Bratz dolls are horrendous...especially the baby ones that have huge, collegen lips and full eye makeup that compliments their nappies. You aren't overreacting, they are foul

and, back on topic - hope she has a fantastic birthday. Congratulations to her.
