Stupid Rednecks Get to me sometimes...

You know, I just had a really fucked-up 3 hours in my night school. I had history tonight, so i was pretty exited (My history teacher is an old Ex-hippie from the 60's/70's) Usually, it's the best class of the week. See, I used to LOVE night school, But tonight (and for a couple of weeks now) it became apparent that i have absolutly NOTHING in common with anyone. All they talk about is whats the greatest rap song/whats the greatest gun/How cool atomic bombs are/ect... I can never give an opinon on these things since i really don't know anything about them. And when i do give an opinon (i didnt think atomic bombs were cool) everybody shoots me down. Its like they can't open their mind for shit, And god forbid i bring in some of my music to listen to. They act like its the worst shit they ever heard. But anyway, tonight really pissed me off. I had to leave early because my ride was too obnoxius (sp?) (Which happens often), On the way home, he sees a cat on the road and chases it down until he runs it over (he hates cats) whats the worst part, the cat had a collar on it, which means it was somebodys pet. Then, he drops me of on the side of a road (I don't even know where i am) and says that he will be back in 10 minutes. a half an hour later (Its about 10 degress here and i had My clothes and a jacket only) he picks me up and takes me home. Now, is it just me, or would that whole night just piss you off? I don't know, i just feel really sad right now. Like, not to be sterotypical, But Nobody up here understands me. I feel like im all alone. Me & My computer. Ever feel that way?
But anyways, I just had to get that off my chest, i was so angry/sad when i came home, I had to tell someone. Thanks for listening!

Excuse that comment, that was rather rude... but what can I say, it's a civil liberty that I'm quite thankful for. Ironically, I also personally know one of the designers of Fat Man and Little Boy. His son was my middle school principal...

And none of this really pertains to rednecks, I'd say. They just deal with ignorance or miscommunications. You have to see your thoughts from different angles and an opposing viewpoint. I mean, I've chased people with my truck (though I never meant to kill anyone with it). I also know plenty of people who can't stand rednecks, yet run over animals and do shit like that.


But personally, I feel 90 percent of the arguments that you take part in will have no effects on your life-- so I guess you can eat your heart out. I'll stand here and watch. Speak not but what may benefit others or yourself, avoid trifling conversation, be not disturbed at trifles, or at accidents common and avoidable. (The vigilance of others will come back to you as karma in the future)

if i saw anyone hurting a cat i think i would punch them in the face... and i wouldn't care if they hurt me back... it's a gut reaction that i can't control. i live with a hunter, and... have you seen princess mononoke? where the guy has to hold his arm down when he gets upset because otherwise the hate in him would make him kill? i've had to hold my arm down. anyway... i know exactly how you feel... and i have no advice on how to deal with it other than, be the change you wish to see in the world... and don't punch people.

Well, If you liked that story, you'll LOVE the sequel! I am getting more and more fed up with north michigan every day.
So, i get a call last week from one of my friends who i havent seen in a year or two asking me if i could come and party with her. I was so excited. When I get there (The party was in the basement of a Public motel. i thought they got permission to party down there, but i'll get to that in a minute), there are alot more people than she let on. Somebody was talking about fag bashin' or some shit, and glaring at me, like trying to start a fight (I am a open bisexual with everybody, except with my stepdad). So i step outside for some fresh air (By this time, me and everybody has consumed a pint or more of vodka), the all of a sudden, My friend is upstairs Wanting to go home, cause i guess the owner of the motel came downstairs and found everyone. Then (This all happened in a period of about 2 minutes), all of a sudden, everyones outside beating the living hell out of eachother. Im talking about crowbars and broken bottles. It was bad, so i just started walking home (which is about 10 miles away, in the pitch black) and realised I didn't have my housekeys on me, and it was too late to call anyone (2:00), so i start heading back to the motel, because i don't hear fighting anymore. I get to the parking lot, and someone (I couldent see their face because the headlights were right in my face) pulls up and says "THE COPS ARE ON THEIR WAY, GET THE FUCK IN!" I had about a quarter on me and was scared shitless, since i have never been in trouble with the cops before. So i jump in and see the person who was driving was as drunk as i was. (I know, that was stupid, i should have just ran and hid, but i was too drunk and it happend way too fast for me to think logically, other than "I have to leave NOW".) So, we go to another house, where the same basterds who started the first fight were (Why she stopped at this house, i don't know), so another HUGE fight breaks out there. This time, they blew a hole in the side of a garage, and someone got hit in the head with (what looked like) a metal section of flagpole. So after about 10 minutes of trying to talk This one guy into coming with us, so he doesn't get killed, We are off again, this time to the drivers house. Where we have to pry a rifle out of Someones hand, Cause he wants to go over and kill the person who started the fight. Finally, at about 4:00, everything gets calmed down, and i have to stay the night there. That was horrible, EVERYWHERE you looked, inside the house or outside, were asst. parts of ROTTING, MAGGOTY deer. Yeah, Thats a wonderful scent to fall asleep to. You know, some people can drink alchaol (Now, i know i spelled that word wrong), and some people can't. Most of those people were as drunk as i was, but You didn't see me trying to start shit with other people. The people who can't drink SHOULD NOT DRINK!
So, talk about your Fucked up week, huh? Man, i can't wait to move. We are probably gonna move to Jackson, Tennessee sometime next year. I can't wait! Anyone from tennessee Here? if so, are people like this there to? I have to learn to surround myself with positive people if i want to be a positive human being. cause i tell ya, man, This weekend has made me loose my happy place! (and it's not even over yet!). Im just thankful people like you guys exist. Thanks for the support. It keeps my spirit up that even though i live with a bunch of assholes, i can come here and people are acually respectful of their fellow man. that is something i don't see were i live. Thank you all so much for just being cool to me.

 

the love and overwhelming number of amazing people are what make this place so addictive...

the hate and overwhelming number of people who have no self control are what made me stop drinking... among other things... it's just a sad scene to get into, it's redundant and you know the people involved are perfectly content to continue on in the same patterns for as long as possible... but whatever rocks your boat or finds your lost remote...

i hope that when you move you can find a big supportive group of loving and open minded people, and major kudos, props, snaps, whatever, for being open about your sexuality in what seems like such a difficult place...

 

It's funny because everyone I know from Michigan spends as much time as they can going to Canada. They're always going "Yeah, I was in Detroit visiting family for Thanksgiving... but fuck that place, there's too much rock. Actually, it's one of the only cities that still has milk delivered door to door and the milkman never gets hurt... yeah, Canada is where it's at. Screw Detroit."

 

Folkhippie.....not only are you living around very uncool people, you guys make some pretty BAD decisions. Have you lost a friend? Im just asking, because Ive lost a few to drunken driving and I am a big hardass on people driving drunk and GETTING into cars where the driver is drunk.....Im not trying to scold you, but it is the worst way to die...or kill someone...

Anyway, my parents live in Tennessee, not Jackson, but close (i think). I cant speak for the people there, but only YOU are able to surround yourself with positive, loving people. It is up to you. But I have much love for the south, so there will be some chill people....but we do have hard drinking hard headed rednecks, too.
