I'm doing a comic strip and this one character is a really dorky nerdy un-hip type and he has a CD in his back pocket. What music should I make it be?
Radiohead. Else, hmm, the nerdiest person I know has a tendency to put the techno remix of ABBA's The winner takes it all on repeat for days on end. Or how about Europe, Foreigner or Duran Duran?
well, what ways is this character "un hip" what's his/her nerd obsession? what music would under-score (ha) that.
depends. dorks shall be intelligent AND dorky, so they have to listen to something classy but a bit dorky, like opera or Dolly Parton.
He's kind of your classic nerd with the pocket protector and short hair cut. He's quiet and polite, something of a wallflower. His momma dominated him and he does what she says except he has a penchant for the naughty girls and will let them walk all over him. He's a junk food junkie, likes an occaisional beer and gets very drunk once in a blue moon but is deathly afraid of pot. As he gets older and out of school he gets a good paying job with a major corporation and gets a little uppity and power trippy. He watches football and other sports mainly for the statistical interest but also to proove to himself he is a man among men. Doesn't care much about the environment, kind of class centered, a little wary of the darker minorities and gays. When he was first in college he rebelled from his parents and voted Democrat in a few elections but gradually comes around to being a good solid Republican. Clueless, oblivious and very dull but knows the value of pi to 100 places. How's that?
