which planet in your opinion....

which planets (pluto is a planet lol), or astroids do you find play a primary role in your life as of right now? for instance, have you suddenly found your passion in the arts, picked up an insturnment or begun to listen to new music - venus, or found a new love obsession - venus&pluto, or picked up martial arts and physically disciplining the body - mars&saturn. these are obvious but i thought id give a few examples just incase
and why?

which planets or asteroids have paved a consistent theme throughtout your entire life? for instance have you never settled, are you constantly acting on eccentric impulses, living life one moment at a time, are you known for setting fashion trends and your unique individualism - bam, you got uranus right there. lol. hypersensitive and drawn to the mystical or occult - youve got your higher octave of venus = neptune!

More chart oriented: what planet is most prominent in your chart, or, your chart ruler <---- do you find that this accuratly reflects you as an individual and how you interact with your enviornment? even if a planet does not rule your sun, moon or ascendant sign, it might be isolated on one side while all the other planets aspect it from the other

also which planet do you most relate to and does this correlate with your sun sign. are there any people who relate more to a planet that doesnt rule their sun, moon or ascendant sign?







- right now for me: pluto saturn and chiron

- chart: i have no idea, i would like for someone to tell me which planet in my chart is most prominent, aside from the ascendant ruler. however my moon is on one side of the chart above the ascendant while all other planets oppose and aspect it on the other side. so possibly my moon?

i just joined a few days ago and im a full time college student
astrology has always fascinated me and sun sign astrology (even memorizing everyone elses sign) was not enough. so i got into chart reading and the planets and houses. Also... vedic and other non western astrological systems have caught my eye. as well as archetypal myths that correlate astrology, and the history itself.

im an anthropology major with a minor in psych and im turning 21 this month!

Being a Cancer the moon is very important for me. I find that the transits of the moon pretty well predict how things will go for me on a daily basis. If you post your chart I could tell you what planets IMO are strong for you. In my chart neptune is strong because I'm pisces ascendant but also uranus because my ascendant is on the cusp of aquarius, then jupiter because it's the first counter clockwise planet in my bowl pattern, then moon, venus and sun because they are in mutual reception, then saturn because it's in my 7th (relationship)house, and pluto becuase it's conjunct venus, mars dominating my 4th house and lastly mercury because it's part of my 5th house stellium so for me all the planets have significance but if I had to say one it would be the moon.

I would say moon up there all by its lonesome is significant and certainly pluto in it's own sign with all the folks of your generation very strong and for you near the IC, but look at jupiter in mutual reception w uranus and also so near the cusp of the 7th house AND the ruler of your sun sign sagitarius. BTW that's a busy 4th house you've got there to say the least!

I'm not exactly sure but I think it makes them more significant because the energy of the chart follows the rulers of the signs that the planets are in and when two planets are in mutual reception, planetary energy kind of ends up bouncing between them. Since you have 4 planets in sagitarius that refers their influence to jupiter the ruler, and since jupiter's in aquarius that refers it back to its ruler uranus and since uranus is in sagitarius that goes back to jupiter and so on back and forth. Your Pluto being in its own sign collects energy from other planets too such as venus, mars and the moon because of the signs they're in. I wish I could explain it better but I know the effect is to strengthen the planets where the energy ends up. In my chart this is between venus in leo leading to the sun in cancer leading to the moon in taurus and then back to venus. Kind of a vortex of power and I do feel like these 3 are sort of a signature for me.

or say if someones saturn was in cancer. have you had someone look at your chart for you? or have you just interpreted it yourself?

 

I'm glad you find what I say helpful. Some astrologers use a system of classification of planets in signs according to what the general influence of the sign has on the planet. These are classified into so called dignities, falls, exaltations, accidental detriments, and others. This is an old system and I don't take a lot of stock in it and prefer to look at how each planet acts in each particular sign. So if your mars is in libra I would study how the libra energy affects the martian forces and saturn and cancer likewise and so on for any other combination. I've been studying astrology since summer of 05 not including a year or so back in the 90s. I've never really had a professional interpretation although there's a newsgroup where I've had a guy give me some hints on my chart. I also have sun conjunct uranus and neptune in the 8th in libra which I think are indicators for focus on astrology.

As a cancer, the moon is what controls your moods, that is for sure, it even controls you physically.

Cancer is ruled by the moon so if your sun is in cancer the moon is a strong influence on you. It has to do with feelings and emotions, intuition, imagination and sense of timing. If you study the transits or everyday movements of the moon in relation to the planets, important angles of your chart such as ascendant and mid heaven and houses you can see the influence it has on you. Periods of opposition can be very difficult on you emotionally and a trine can really make your day. This is especially true if you're a cancer although other signs can also be affected. To determine all this you need to study astrology in some depth and learn how to figure out transits. Many astrology programs will help do this and there are some freeware ones such as Canopus and Astro123 which will do the job.

well, what feels right? i actually apply both to mine = im a taurus moon(western) but i also consider aries moon equally, i do this with all the planets.

ever hear of progressions in astrology....for each year that passes in your life you progress to the next day and that is your chart for that year.....for example. ..

if you were born on january 1st, when you turn 20, you would progress your chart to january 20th. the moon moves very quickly through the signs.....

this is why i dont fixate myself/my planet in one sign, because ultimatly part of maturing and growing is part of your astrological progressions away from your natal chart and the transits you experience to your natal and progressed charts.

 

well to be quite honest ...Im attracted to airy men...Also fire signs...could be because my sun sign is in leo...But, my mars is in libra. Love libra men...sooooo hot.

So in my vedic chart im a libra rising, gemini moon as well as venus...which would make a lot of sense b.c in order to get me going sexually someone has to be pretty intelligent...and know how to dirty talk etc..I get down with the phone sex etc...And isnt that indicative of gemini traits?

Im no genius so whatev...you wanna take a look at both of my charts..Im telling you I truly hate the fact that I am a scorpio rising in western. The libra one is just so much more appealing in my eyes...wanna help me out?

sure, ill look at your chart. i wont know what i am looking in your vedic chart until i learn vedic astrology. some people claim that the western system is off...and the signs should be shifted or something. so you may have a valid statement of rejecting your scorpio rising and relating to libra....
