Because i didn't feel they were doing anything for me. It's been three days now and i'm in a fucking terrible mood. Can anyone tell me how long it should take to return to a semblance of normality?

What were you on, & how much of it (dosage)...? Might give someone a better idea.

Your dr obviously gave you meds for a reason. Granted you may not have been getting the results you wanted, but stopping cold turkey can be even worse.

ABOVE ALL, you can decide to medicate or not, you need to talk to your Dr and figure out a plan of action or else youll be back were you started if not worse.

    good luck

agreed..just stopping them was a bad idea,
your on antidepresents and stopped and wonder whyyour in a bad mood?
ya wonder when you'll return to normal? and you say they wernt doin nothing for you?
maybe this is your normal, and they were helping..but maybe not as much as u hoped
take em again, and discuss it with your doc

You are doing the right thing but I would have recommended the 'nibble method' of withdrawal.. actually chip off bits of the actual tablet at a small percent at a time.
Even just taking off 1-2% a day over months until you are down to half tablets, quarters.. eventually just little bits.

But I really want to throw encouragement your way and much respect!

Have you considered weening yourself off them slowly, over time and returning your natural state?

Like hell I'd want to go back to my "natural state". My natural state was fucked up, that's why I'm on the meds.

That's how I feel about meds. My natural state is fucked up which is why I am taking them in the first place, not because of any other reason (ie doctor is pumping me full of meds, pharmiceutical conspiracy, etc).

    Peace and love
