I'm going to have to vote for Michigan, because I always prefer Michigan teams over ANY Ohio team. This year, I am particularly UNINTERESTED in U of M football, though, because I work in downtown Ann Arbor and when there is a home game all I think is, "Oh, god, the traffic". It's so bad...I often get calls at my workplace on Saturday mornings wondering whether or not there is a homegame that day. If there is, no one will be in the store because they don't want to deal with the traffic. Luckily, this year the OSU v. Michigan game is in Columbus. That does ease my mind and make me a bit more interested in it. In 102 years these two teams have never met as #1 and #2 and both undefeated. It'll be an interesting one either way, I think.
as i work in a bar and grill i can only imagine the loud crowd we will have and i gotta work during it too. itll be nuts.
luckily? well....ok, for you i guess....but i live around columbus and let me tell you, i have a passionate hatred of football because of it. ordinarily i'm just not interested in sports, but with football i actually have a very strong distaste for it, and even for osu..... a good percentage of osu fans are dicks. there have often been riots on campus when osu loses. but there have also been a number of riots after winning. i'm talking people flipping cars over, and setting things on fire....all sorts of stuff. oh and did i mention that many osu fans are dicks? when visiting my sister once in bloomington (she goes to indiana university) i was staying at a hotel on the weekend of an osu vs. iu game.....the folks across the hall hung an IU flag off the front of their hotel door....no big problem. but some osu fans staying at the hotel (when not at the game, many of them just hung out in lawn chairs in the parking lot drinking) came by in the night with a sharpie marker and wrote all over this nice flag....looked like it probably cost at least 40 bucks or so. crossed out the IU logo, scrawled FUCK IU on it and GO BUCKS i know not all OSU fans are like this, but a big portion are. i've never been anywhere or at any kind of event where the fans behaved anywhere as poorly as buckeye fans do at football games (and i've seen a lot of bullshit...i used to sell concessions at the stadium a number of years ago....not to mention now that i'm older seeing the shit that happens in the cesspool columbus so proudly calls "campus") i don't know whats wrong with people in columbus, but they're fucking disgusting when it comes to football. other than that its a pretty nice place! amazing how a stupid thing like a game you aren't playing in makes some people act like idiots, really... again, this isn't to say all buckeye fans are like this....of course that would be absurd....but all i know is OSU is notorious for having >among< the most reckless and abusive fanbases in the country...comes from too much beer, i think....
Hey, last year it was in Ann Arbor...so...you know...it's your turn I don't really like football all that much...and since I am from Michigan, we're born and bred to hate OSU. I've been to Columbus and it seemed like such a nice city...of course it wasn't during football season.
bucs won! and as for me being worried about getting really superbusy at work, we had two tables the whole time the game was on. it was sad, but i got to sit and watch the whole game. and get paid for it too!!
