a couple questions for all you dreadheads out there. First, what is your favorite live Dead set?

also, where is a good place on the internet to listen to live dead? I don't have a burner on my computer so bittorrent is out, but while I'm slaving away at work I like to listen to the dead, so any suggestions?

No, I'm not paying for satellite radio either :)

look into internet radio stations. *at one time* there was a jam channel that was not premium. I cannot remember the site (this was seven years ago)

My favorite dead set is: 12/29/73 set one. It's the set that turned me on to the dead and it's still my favorite.

i have a dead show from 68 which is really cool. i try to find the earliest stuff i can. it was back when they firsrt did the old "st stephen -> the eleven -> lovelight" sets. theres also a "doin that rag" which is one of my favorite studio songs of thiers. try nugs.net and go to free stash, theres about 50 or so dead shows available for download

st stephen -> the eleven -> lovelight is an awsome combo. Can you imagine dancing that long? I wish I could have been there. But they stopped playing that when pigpen got sick... too bad.

My favorite Dead set is Fillmore West 2-28-1969, which I noticed recently on a trip to my local independent record store is now available on CD. Wheeee

i have been listening to 02/14/68 its an amazing show. i love early dead. they are so inexperienced and out of tune but they still jam hard. this show has an amazing morning dew and born cross-eyed, a very underplayed tune. its on nugs.net if anyone wants to check it out
