Truly here for us?

Do you think week was created (or whatever you believe in) for us? I mean, why would there be a herbwith cannabinoids, and a mammal with a receptor specifically for cannabinoids? It seems like it is here for our use!

yea I think it was here for us. Because its like male/female ends on plugs. One goes with the other. A plant is on the earth, it produces no effects on its own, Human comes along with proper receptors and BAM! Cannabis Sativa

 

I don't believe it was put here for me to smoke. I believe I was put here to smoke it.

 

obviously it was not "put here" for us..... but theres no problem with dreamin!

 

that's what i'm thinking, it's useless if theres either recptors or just cannabinoids, but since there's the 2, they fit together like a puzzle

p.s.- i got some good shit today yay! its been awhile (2 weeks!) YAY!

 

aren't these receptors for certain natural molecules we create (like seratonin or adrenaline)? and the cannabanoids resemble these in structure, therefore they can bind and produce similar effects.


so the ? is......why do these molecules (THC, etc.) manifest when burned and in doing so resemble these natural ones we have receptors for.

seems like maybe it could have evolved to be smoked, but that really doesn't do much for it besides kill it. OR...maybe it "knows" that if it produces pleasant effects, it will be protected or even cultivated by us intelligent humans, grow plentiful and therefore be biologically sucessful. OR again, on the other hand, the THC and cannabanoids could have been selected for by years and years of cultivation. starting as shitty dirt weed and being bred into nice nugget. but then there were still the original cannabanoids in the starting shitty bud.

plants do evolve to take advantage of animals.

take an apple for instance; it is very tasty to a deer. the deer eats the apple and the seeds, cannot digest the seeds, poops 'em out with a nice little nugget of fertilizer. the seed grows and produces those same tasty apples enoded for by the genes of the original (parent) tree. the tastiest apples are eaten more often, therefore grow more, and are more biologically sucessful.​

oK, back to the weed now:​

the best nugget would get smoked more, cultivated more, and be more sucessful. ​

i think its a pretty cool coincedence... i dont get the feeling it was put here for us (creator is a pretty iffy concept to me) but theres something suspicious going on

 

almost all living animals will get stoned from Marijuana, often times growers in BC will find a passed out beard lieing in what used to be a lovely patch of weed...

 

It just evolved for better seed dispersion. Lots of animals eat the buds and thus comsume the seeds which are pooped out somewhere else spreading the plant. Just like fruit, nothing mystical there.

Since I'm STRONGLY atheist, it's hard for me to believe that they were just "put there". I think that as humans evolve, so do our bodies to accompany anything that we come in contact with.

It's confusing to me, the whole concept of everything's beginning and the whole jigsaw effect that seemed to happen.

 

Heres the thing, I'm agnostic, but mostly athiest, I guess that makes me an "Agnostic Athiest" or something, but fuck that, anyways...

Sometimes when I'm really stoned, I see how perfectly marijuana works. Then I start to wonder, "hmm... isn't it just scary how good this works?" Then I usually start getting this huge conspiracy mapped out in my mind, where some bigger power (think bigger than the gov't... maybe big brother, if you will?) is attempting to dumb us down with weed. Somehow it all makes sense, and I can see a future where vaporizors (I'm not talking about stoner vapes, I'm talking about some crazy gov't built medicinal vaporizors) are everywhere. In this stoned future that I see, kids are given this vapor from birth. As we move foward in the future, all of society will think of marijuana through their gov't issued vaporizers as a normal, necessary thing, all the time. It will be this higher power/governments way of making us accept, peacefully, the fact that our world is quickly dieing, and in a few hundered years, this place will be a very, very sad place.

THEN I come out of my "stoned revelation" and I realize that its just a really nice coincidence that the bud just works so goddamned great.

 

I'm not sayin you have to believe in god or anything...

 

im a defininte agnostic. i believe something is up there i just dont know what, why, and what it wants from us.

Im confused over this topic becuase its easy to think that weed was put here for us. But its also easy to see how it evolved into what it is 2day to fit how animals interact with it so it can b more biologically successfull. I also believe a lot in fate and this is that kinda thing. It was supposed to happen this way, to evolve into what it is.. idk kinda far fetched i guess but thts my 2cents.

 

no no thats not what I meant by that at all. I know what you meant, and I agree that you don't need to believe in god. For some reason though, I felt the need to explain that for some reason, because I, my friend, was high. As I am now, once again.

 

I believe it was put here for our enjoyment and meditation. thats what the arabs or whatever believe.

oh and by the way.. the cannabinoid receptors in ure brain arent specifficly deigned for smoking pot, if thats the what your thinking.

In a nutshell... they send/recieve messages in the brain as to how you interperet things in and outside of you body.

But.. they are activated by cannibinoids, like THC, yes, but your body also produces these too.
