We hardly hear anything about Greenhouses! I really want to build a greenhouse but I'm getting the idea that noboby else uses one so they must not work very well for growing weed. Tell me it ain't so!!! Somebody out there must be growing in a greenhouse - tell us about it!!!
I've seen a greenhouse used to grow weed, it was one of my friend's neighbors. I think the main reason people don't use greenhouses isn't becuase they don't work well, but they can get expensive and tend to draw attention to themselves. Granted that's just my guess, I'd love to hear more on the benifits and draw backs of useing a greenhouse too.
Hey Dash! I'm with you all the way on this one brother!!! I've thought about those same things! I live in a more rural area and am moving to a rural area in North Carolina. I reckon a modest greenhouse would be right at home on the "outskirts" of town; but would maybe draw attention in the suburbs. I have come across some plans for a pretty decent, easy to build, economical greenhouse. I'll look up the link if you're interested (or anyone else for that matter!). Come on people! Let's hear about those benefits (or draw backs!) of using a greenhouse!!!
Okay! Here's the link for building your own low cost greenhouse!!! http://www.bae.ncsu.edu/programs/extension/publicat/postharv/green/small_greenhouse.pdf What do you think? I reckon you could adopt it to be any length you want. Customize it for better ventilation. Run in a water and power line and you're ready to rock and roll!!! I would replace the plastic film with Filon or fiberglass panals after an initial trial run (to make everything worked out well).
Hey Ninfan! I wouldn't be glazing with real glass; but rather transluscent plastic. We're thinking that the greenhouse itself might be a curiosity!!! Even that might be a problem!
Personally i'd go w/ buying one of those nicer wooden sheds, u know w/ shingles etc.. and cut part of the roof out and plexiglass it. Sheds = garden tools = no fun
I have seen some nice ones made out of that black horticultural cloth (you cant see through it) a lot of nurseries use it
here is a link to see some http://www.growersupply.com/shadecloth.html?gclid=COCP0-6xw4gCFRdNGAodtjjzCg
