Oh, and since it is a book you especially might want to try ebay's subsidiary, half.com. It's even easier than ebay, since the seller just sets the price (no auctioning), describes the condition of the book, you buy it, they ship it. It's more like online shopping - and if you do have a dispute over the item you bring it to ebay's attention and they may be able to credit your money back to you. P.S. is this the one?
Ive had a few problems with ebay myself, but since I used paypal I eventually got my money back, ive had to go through ebay to get my money back 2 or 3x on over 100 purchases.
