Here is a photo of my new ball python, its a she.

shes about 8 weeks old now, has eaten 5 times, which is prettty good. she's still verry timid though, which is normal. They loose there fear of people as they get older, and with regular handling.

havnt decided on a name yet. But Carrie, like after the steven character seems like it may stick

edit, cant seem to get the picture to show on here

Your thread title is slightly mis-leading however you do have a very nice little snake. I dont know but the name Condolezza seems appropriate for a snake.

She's precious, so little. I've always wanted a python, but don't want to have to feed it.

snakes are metal midgets, and balls really require verry little environmental stimulation, and infact do there best in small inclosures with several tight hiding spots. And for them to do their best you need to mimic there natuaral environment. This hold true for most reptiles.
Ie... they require precice tempurature and humidity controles, and
regualar day night cycles. even mimicing seasonal diferences is required for them to breed

and as I said they prefer small incloures. If you give a ball python to much open space it will stres out and refuse feed. that aquarium in the photo is actually too large a space for her right now, but she will quickly grow into it.
In few years when she aproaches adult size (5-6feet long) she will need a a 50 gallon tank as a maximum size, the curent one is 25gallon

    Uh huh
Well I always got the impress setting rules and expecting everyone to conform was against the 'hippie code', but yeah what would I know. As I'm not a hippy anyway.
You're as welcome to your opinion as I am to mine. That fit your code?

I figure cousinit is taking good care of her, and really it's a bit late to complain as they're already together, so can't see the harm really.
