Damn, the Democrats actually gained control of the Senate, too. Amazing. I have never seen Bush so nervous, agitated, and confused as he was in his speech today. I hope that's for good reason. I rather doubt it is, though. Nancy Pelosi has said, in so many words, that she's going to kick Bush's ass in her first 100 hours as speaker. I hope she's really going to do that. I rather doubt she is, though, as the Democrats have a horrible record as being any kind of real opposition to what the Republican Party is doing. I completely agree with most of the posters that none of this is likely to effect any real change as long as the two major parties are running the show. I would be shocked to see otherwise. I hope I'm wrong. I don't think I am, though.
The best thing for the United States right now would be to have so much party disagreement that the country just sits idle for two years unable to change any major policy.
Yea, I'm sure that would suit you warhawks just fine. As long as the US is blowing up something, you're happy.
I see you failed to pick up the sarcasm on that one. I am talking about issues like this going nowhere. http://today.reuters.com/news/articleinvesting.aspx?view=CN&storyID=2006-11-08T153154Z_01_N08242980_RTRIDST_0_USA-ELECTION-ENERGY-UPDATE-1.XML&rpc=66&type=qcna
O-your welcome-didn't figure you needed to be lumped into that mess-lol-You probably got enough fish to fry and helping a Republican idiot is probably not high on thing to do list-This is such a fine day for America-a balance is back-wow-how nice!-I'd bet the majority of our troops will be outa there within 6 months-?!-Now maybe we can start making friends with the rest of the world again-time to undo all the Bush damage-Man-that guy looks completely lost!-He is in total shock and may never recover-lol-Is this what Bush ment by "shock and awe"?-did ya get the Hendrix bio?
If this is true how did Lieberman pull off his coup? I see him as a "corporcrat" that will do anything to keep his seat of power. He now states he wants to be part of the democratic caucus, but the democratic voters of his state didn't choose him in the primary. I think he and the other independent should caucus by themselves in the Senate. We all know he will tend to vote with the republicans every chance he gets. He's a mole. He's not an independent. How I wish some Green Party and Libertarians could get elected to federal seats.
I wonder what prizes Rumsfield will now garner. Wolfowitz became president of the World Bank. I expect to see the threat of bird flu to once again raise it's ugly head so that his Gilead friends can prosper.
Well he looks totally defeated and depressed-his hillybilly badass 'John Wayne swagger is gone-Kinda like another Swagger-What a mess things are-We have all thse politcal and spiritual perverts being outed!-Such hipocrites-amazing
Well the only one he has left now is Condi Rice and she wasn't looking all the good while she let Lebanon (one of the few democratic Arab states) burn. I guess the American voter knows more about how to "smoke them out", and "dead or alive" than Mr. Bush does.
I wasn't referring to career politicians that have been within the RNC and DNC for years or decades. No one in the RNC or DNC really fears him since he's an insider. Also, my point was mainly about Presidential races. Let's see how far Lieberman would get in a presidential race trying to run as a third party candidate. .
My question on dividing Iraq into three different countries would be who holds which oil rights. And I am sure thats the biggest question out there right now. And I am sure that's why the British constructed Iraq this way to begin with. They didn't care about cultures, they only cared about who controlled the oil. And is the US interest any different. Don't think so. So I guess the US taxpayer will have to continue to pay the bill to guarrantee control.
We'll never recover the money of this half trillion dollar waste, not to mention the loss of life which is irreplaceable. Then Bush says at his press conference that if we leave now, al qaeda will control it. al Qaeda wasn't a problem in Iraq before the U.S. invasion. It's just another twisted illogical ludicrous statement. Another great line by Bush at the press conference: the terrorists want to take over moderate countries and impose their ideology on them. Was he talking about the U.S. or al Qaeda? .
Bush's response this time around was sure different than in 2004. When asked if he would reach out to democrats during his second term, he replied defiantly, "I've earned political capital and I intend to spend it." Too bad he didn't spout off a comparable CEO quip for the losses he suffered in the mid-terms. "I lost all my capital and I intend to apply for political bankruptcy." .
and you don't have any sexual identity problems or holding back on any of the letting the love flow.... hehehehehehehehehe that's for sure!
I wish someone would tell us what constitutes victory in Iraq. If the war was about installing democracy. We've done that. Also, who exactly are we fighting. Are we killing Sunnis, Shites, or Kurds. Who is are enemy in Iraq?
Man, that's the multi-billion dollar, many thousand lives question. I don't think we're killing many kurds. Got no idea about the rest of your questions. Peace, poor_old_dad
