I personally don't enjoy anal, but my girlfriend does. The trick we've found out is you need to take things reaaallly slow starting out with one finger and working up to a few fingers and then a small toy and then up from there. This is all in one love making session, not over the course of a week. Also, being turned on and relaxed always helps. It does get easier though.
