^yea my buddy Larry is fixin to go to the army and I was jsut like wow man, one day you're buyin quarter poudns with him, then you find out he's goin to the army....
He was so much more good-lookin' with shorter hair, I gotta say. Although, I'm still not quite sure if a gun is becoming of him. Still, I bet he's seein' a lot. Good as much as bad. I do miss him.
All the best to him... I, however am opposed to all illegal wars and the like. Violence is quite lame...
My point is I'm definately not going to pass the uh... test or any of that good stuff. It's also still the military, so it'll still be a pain in the ass, though I like to view the coast guard as the only branch of service that really doesn't play offense, which is the reason my dad joined in the 70s.
Pvt. Charles Hall is a rather interesting fellow who was once a regular member here, used to play and share music with me, and also stayed at my house.
Meg (moonjavaseed), Chuck (politicsareawesome/soulrebel51), Shelly (acetonephish, below utopia etc.), Alex (fractual), Syra (novarys), Crummyrummy, and I don't know who else. I also figure I had to have passed Krystin coming back from the circle in Atlantic Beach, NC, once... because we got to talking about coffee and restaurants and I realized we were at the circle at the same time one day when I was down there... and then I've had encounters where I see forumers at concerts but don't go up to them. I've met several forumers who also seem to know who I am (usually when I'm strolling around MacArthur Center in Norfolk or in a city somewhere) but didn't introduce themselves to me. It usually happens a few times a year. I'll also have people come up to me during concerts and ask if I'm the same dude, usually. All I can say is I generally have either 1) crazy shit 2) bad shit 3) really good shit with a hard comedown happen to me in my life and this is just one of those random things.
We were at the circle at the same time on the same day? That's crazy to think about. I've been going down there a lot lately...Main beach is absolutely beautiful at night. Patches where no one's walked in days. It's perfect: have a smoke, get a buzz, watch the little orange cinder-glow floating against the horizon with all the ships out at sea. Parfait. Plus, I usually go right after I spend a few hours in Coffee Affair, so I'm doubly chill.
I used to have little routines... I'd walk all the way from the public access at Emerald Isle to the pier and back every night and watch all the ships. That and I'd always stop at the dollar store down past the circle and stock up on green tea. Haha, I want to go back down there and find a new pier. Maybe I'll go to my other pier on Hatteras Island... I intend to spend many a drunken frenzy of a night going fishing this Summer. I was going to go backpacking around Harrisonburg or Staunton, VA, in the Blue Ridge, tomorrow... but my HVAC teacher asked me if I wanted to go out for Amberjack and Striper at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.
Awww, I do that in the summer. And sometimes the other way to the point too. Are you talking about the 98 Cent Store? That place saves my life anytime I have to do theater down in Morehead. It's the greatest. They have edible panties.
