I gotta hold of some more kynd budd! I dunno if its the music and the weed or jsut the weed or what. Anyways the past few times I've smoekd it I've listened to Fire on the Mountain live from the 78' Winterland run and I used to listen to it when I was tripping with my friends. And after we smoke a bowl or two and the song is playing I really get the sensation that I'm going to start tripping and then temporarily I feel like I am in a very mild trip that I can remember from when I was on acid. Its nuts, and kinda scary also....is my head taht fucked?
It's probably good weed+ good music. listening to good music while smoking a joint is avery nice combination which can make you have a really nice time. i always used to think it's because music alone can produce a "high" of it's own( you know that kinda rush/shiver you feel when you hear a song you really like?) so listening to good muic while high can just double that sensation. I never reached to point where I though I was tripping, though or at least not since the very first few time I smoked weed.
your not fucked up...its just that you hear the song that you have heard multiple times while you were tripping. thus bringing your conscious to believe your in some sort of trippy state of mind...though the high from the bud gave it a big boost as well...this goes under the hypnosis catagory also... so if you can just listen to a song and trip out then who needs drugs anymore right? It's called a flashback, which is really a form of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Some things can trigger a flashback, being in an altered state and listening to that song was kindof like a vet watching saving private ryan. s'all good though, saves money on acid.
wow you're right, about the whole saving private ryan analogy... I jsut wish i could get a full blown trip from it. I think I found my next science experiment....I'm gonna pick a person and feed them acid and have them listen to an album everyday while tripping for two months. then I'll replace the acid with good herb and see if they ahve a trip flashback.....
Speaking of Winterland '78.. get the Bruce Springsteen bootleg from Winterland '78 - the best radio broadcasted concert you'll ever hear.
