I did a bit of a search to see if there's a thread on Silent Hill, if there is and I missed it, sorry! Anyway, did anyone like it? I saw it when it came out on video, thinking it'd be this really cool movie, because I thought the premise was interesting. Well, wrong I was... a) it wasn't what I thought it was going to be, so that threw me off b) the movie dragged on way too much, it could've done w/o the last 20 minutes or so, in my opinion c) the flow of the story made absolutely no sense d) characters kinda were lame and boring after a while Just my two cents. It's really about 2 hours of my life I'll never get back.
I loved it. If you're not a fan of the videogames then you probably wont like it. Nor would you really understand most of it.
Personally no horror movies now adays scare me. One did make me paranoid though. 13 Ghost. Everytime I would get into my tub I would fear being stabbed. Like in the movie the ghost was in the tub. I don't look for horror films to scare me anymore, because they dont.
Aye, I know where you're coming from. I'm a big fan of the games, and despite what all other fans tried to convince me of, I really like the Silent Hill movie. Plus, Sybil was hot.
it was better then most videogame movies, but that is not saying much. they made the main character way to stupid. I would say it was an average movie and i would give it 5 out of 10
It was piss poor, it just had no plot at all. However, i liked the creatures, the effects and deaths were good, but that was certainly not enough to make it good, or even acceptable.
You forgot to mention that hot blonde motorcycle policewomen as being a plus in an otherwise lousy movie. While we've all seen dozens upon dozens of lousy horror movies, we never forget the hot babes.... Hotwater
Man, those little black creatures were awesome! Except the fact they sounded like nails on a chalkboard. I couldn't follow the names of the characters though.
i saw it and remembered thinking that alot of the scenes were really beautiful, scenes of the countryside and the city. i remember loving the last 20 minutes and thinking that it helped make the movie pretty decent. just my 2 cents
The film wouldn't mean much unless you played the game, personally i enjoyed it, it certainly replicates the feel of game. Not sure if a sequel would work though.
I thought it was the best horror movie i've seen in a long time... I loved it, it wasn't even predictable... one of my top 15 fav movies of all...
This along with Napolean Dynamite and Blair Witch Project will go down as movies that SUCK BIG BALLS!!!
Visually, it was fucking amazing. The rest of it was just...mediocre to decent. 7/10 overall, I guess.
Oh this is one of my favorite horror movie...I like the story of this one...All I can say is that vengence is deadly....I love the effect in this movie so terrifying...I don't know what I fill with the little girl in there who was cursed by the villager if I need to be angry or fill pity with her... DVD CORNER AMAZING TV SHOWS
