i'm not sure, but i love Dali's work i also enjoy M.C. Esher, and Picasso i don't much look at the artist to see if i like their work like some people do, i prefer the content of the artwork
well... I usually hate this kind of questions.... as I've asked this question, I'll try and answer. I like very much the abstractionism, particularly the paintings with bright colors. I also like the surrealism, it infuses deep emotions into me. De Chirico's paintings make me feel deep loneliness and restlessness. As this:
I like Low Brow Art, pop surrealism, and tattoo art. Abstract expressionism and surrealism are some good forms too. I love the feeling of hopelessness, pain and distortion that modern art can evoke, because it makes me feel what is going on inside me. I also think of modern art as a wake up call to truth that people tend to neglect, and it has a way of twisting reality like a really good tab of acid.
I love surrealism! I like the feeling of expressing the unconscious thoughts. Renaissance & baroque is usually very intresting. Op art is neat.. who doesnt love a good optical illusion piece?
as of lately...i really dig art nouveau and art deco....everything from painting, to fashion, to the architecture of these periods. I noticed joo kyle mentioned basquiat....great choice...love him. I dont know where you would classify him....heroin conceptualism??(i made that one up) there's a great movie about him...i belive it is called Basquiat. talks about how warhol met him and stuff....check it out
