ok, ya gotta keep seperating em!!! just grab em and take 2 next to eachother and pull apart they look great except the back wants to become 1 huge dread if your not careful if u keep seperating em they'll look great the front and sides look awesome u even look sorta familiar...wonder why
haha, I agree with soaringeagle. Just make sure you keep pulling them apart. Thats really waht I'm having to do daily with my forming dreads. It really seems crazy how some parts knot up so fast and wanna congo while I'm still ahving trouble with another part of my head actualy dreading up yet...:& As far as the lumps/loops go, you should be proud of them they give your locks taht special unique look. But dont worry I'm sure I've heard the dread experts of the forum answer that same question saying that they'll smooth out with some time. Since your dreads are four months old I think you'll have plenty of time for them to smooth out
i believe if you roll them a LOT everyday, the kinks and loops come out eventually, but i don't know for sure, cause i prefer having them myself. definately tear those bitches apart if you don't want some huge ones in the end. (sorry, i'm going through a calling-things-bitches-phase ahah)
hahaha well, careful or you'll end up with what mine did the 1st time..you'll end up with just a huge fat pillow dread in the back how do u sleep ? chances are theyre gettin like that cause of sleepin on em..
Yeah, palm rolling is a great way to smooth out lumps and loops. They'll never be completely gone, but they can smooth into the rest of the lock. This is gradual, though, and you won't see much of a change after the first time you palm roll them. Give them a month, and they'll be subdued. And yeah, rip 'em apart! I started mine with bands, and when I took them off a couple of months ago, I've had to rip and seperate at least once a week. Namaste
hey! thanks to all for replyingg! soaringeagle---it probably is because of the way i sleep.. i usually put them up in a bun on the very top of my head.. i thought that wouldnt really flatten them so bad... but i don;t know.. should i do something else? well thankss guyss. peacee--sunshine
I pull mine up like i have spikey hair haha it works good enough the back is about to turn to a beaver tail if i leave it this way i want atleast one fat-ass dread
