Today at school me and some other kids(about 30 total) all left school at about 10:10am to go protest against the war in Iraq. Police, SROs(School resource officers; basically school patrolling cops), and 2 administrators came up to where we were on the courthouse steps and told us we had to go back to school but we stayed and continued our protest. We had picket signs that said "Stop the war, feed the poor"(our slogan), peace signs, and other anti war things. It was the best day I've had in a long time.

congratulations to you and your freinds for standing up for your convictions. I just really hope other people your age will follow your example.
You know why it felt good?? Because you knew what you were doing was right!

I must say, I am very proud of you!!!

that's awesome, i'd love to organize something like that in my school.

i'm thinking of boycotting the rememberance day ceremony at our school
just for the reason that i believe all war is pointless

i know most people are gunna say it's just skipping, but the difference between skipping and boycotting it are the ideas behind ur reason for not being there

Awesome man! Wish That could happen here!

Don't, rememberence day is a war protest in itself, reminding us of the pointless folly of war.

I concur with the statements about Rememberance Day. Yes it's about remembering those who have fallen, but you can think about those who have fallen for a useless cause.

anywho, war protests are the shizznit.

i guess if you look at Rememberance Day as a war protest, but i've never seen it that way

and yesterday in class i had to write a journal entry to my teacher in English about what it means to be courageous, and the main point of my article was "if being courageous is killing people because of their political beliefs, spiritual beliefs, or because of the country they live in, i have no courage"

Orgonize over several schools, set up a campaign group. It should work better than wildcat activity.
