Check out Mystic Journey (disc) and "Doors to Heaven."

Arlo is amazing, the Guthrie family was born to play music i think. Started with woody, passed to Arlo, and now to his daughter...

and his son, Abe, who apparently is good at a mix board too.
Woody's older brother Jack was a fiddler. My former father-in-law played a bit of guitar with him a time or two, sort of a let the kid hang around gesture on Jack's part.

since you like that time frame, check out the Arlo and Seeger concerts, Amigo and Hobo's Lullaby.
also check out Steve Goodman's work. He wrote City of New Orleans.
