So I watched "Reefer Madness" the other night

It was really bad. That's all I can say. I would have to write a 5 page essay to explain. So I'll leave at "It was really bad"

 

I saw it on TV once and decided to watch, but it was so boring and plain stupid I couldn't even finish. I don't even remember how far I got

 

I thought it was hilarious. When the guy breaks the coke bottle and starts chugging coke and broken glass, because HE'S HIGH ON REEFERS!! You can't beat that...

 

Was this the original you saw or the new musical satire of it?

 

Are you guys kidding?!!!Reefer Madness is a CLASSIC movie. I'm not sure which version you are referring to but the orignal is absolutely hilarious. The newer one isn't too bad either. Seeing as I saw the new one when I was incohently high, my opinion doesn't weigh much. But the old one?!?! SO GOOD! Women cry for it! MEN DIE FOR IT! The SWEET pill that makes like BIIIITTTTTER. God, it's so fucking funny.

Thats a classic comedy, they don't make em like the used to after all.
I love the part when his eyes are completely crazy and hes going nuts on the piano, cause I've done that drunk...

It's funny as hell now, but it's scary to think that in those days there were many who took the message seriously.

 

I thought it showed how naive Americans were about drugs. It was like watching a classic movie crime drama, but there was pot smoking in it. I guess I was just expecting something different.

 

I think I saw the new one, so maybe that's why I didn't like it much. I should try to watch the old one sometime

 

Reefer Madness was a great movie that taught me every thing i know about marijuana

 

Reefer Madness, the movie based on the musical based on the movie, sucked. Most movies based on musicals based on movies are pretty bad (the producers leaps to mind).
The origional was brilliant however, not because it was intended to be funny, but because it wasn't intended to be funny. It's a little slice of fox-news in it's larva form...

 

I'm not sure which is which that everyone is speaking of being bad. But all I know is I saw the musical and thought it was grand.
