I am looking for an artistic person who wants to work in exchange for a place to live. The work involves finishing a split level cabin while living in it. My 4 cats also live in it now and could use some company. Will give info in PM. The split level cabin I built in Oysterville, Washington.
Hey Honorseed, sounds like a cool propostition for somebody. But just for shits and giggles, what exactly does "finishing" entail? Like carpentry stuff? Wiring or plumbing? Other construction type stuff? When you ask for an artistic person, I am thinking like painting, or decorating, or landscaping, tiling, or doing something cool to the outside, like some kind of stucco or plaster or something. You might have better luck finding somebody who can help you out if everyone knew more of what you needed. Hell, if it were just artsy stuff like painting or something, I might be tempted to do it myself. But it seems like you need more than that, and I have my hands full anyway. Hope a lil' nudge in the descriptive butt gets you some better replies on this.
xander just wrote he's leaving nocal for here soon. but as you can see there is an upper and lower window for 2 people to call home for a while. Also there is another place to sleep. there is way to much work even for Augie and I and Xander, if he shows, fact is Augie who took a train from Boston I met on hipforums met a gal who is disabled he is helping, she offered to buy him the bicycle and gas motor that goes on it the other day, so he is off all day with her. He really likes the people here cuz they chat with him at docs tavern, he said that in Boston you can sit all day next to someone and not even a word. I think the big city makes people weird, www.funbeach.com if you want to scope this peninsula out. the work is not limited to the cabin only, plenty of burning to do out back of the cabin in the firepit. yeh, work like hooking in an extra phone line for a spare computer in the cabin seems like an idea so anyone can use my service to get online once in a while, also would like to set up an intercom. What you don't know about construction I can teach, I used to be a general contractor before my bad back caused me to slow wayyyyyyyyy down. Really they should teach construction in grade school, not everyone grows up being a rocket scientist I had a girlfriend paint for me on a job and she did great paying attention to detail trim. blessings and love Honor Seed

well check out www.funbeach.com , the mural capitol of the world, may be u can scare up a commission or 2 here. these murals are huge though and probably run a few thousand apiece. anyways you can move here if you like, xander just asked if anyone else showed up yet, he's coming in on the 11th or so. I have your phone # off the mural site so I can call you if you want, we have to hook up a computer in the cabin so whoever can get online once and a while, work like that in exchange for living space is acceptable to me.....so is 'reflective mural painting', but the cabin will end up looking like a forest, u can see from the photo it has to painted with a primer first. peace and blessings, HS
Still looking for someone to give me a hand in exchange for a place to call home. The Airstream 28 trailer is open this coming Wednesday, Augi who I met on hipforums is moving into a trailer given to him, Brittany is saving up money for a bus fare and Thom and Lynn are going to hang with relatives until after the holidays. I could have used needed help like yesterday. peace Honor Seed
Hey Honor - We would certainly have enjoyed meeting you and seriously considered your offer, but alas we have decided to return to Florida. We're praying that you find the help you need and the perfect housemate(s). Thank you for your kind offer. Peace to you friend, Thom & Lynne "Everything else can wait except the search for God." (G. Sounds like an interesting proposition. I'm pretty good at carpentry, construction, painting, interior finish, etc. and am looking to move from E. KY to somewhere else. Is the economy very good in your area? Where ever I go I would be looking to set down roots there for a while, so after you're finished with me, I would be looking into local job opportunities, available apartments, and things of that nature. If you're interested in me, reply here or send me a PM and I'll give you more details about me and my background in my response.
Honor, Thom Green here... still here and heading that way. Give me a call if you have a chance as I've misplaced your phone number. http://www.geocities.com/muralsbygreen

Damn, I wish someone would post a help wanted like that on the east coast, especially southern east coast. 15 years ago, I built a cordwood home up in Mansfield PA. I worked on different types of houses my whole life. My son's a framer with roofing and dry wall experience. Why couldn't you live somewhere closer to me?:toetap:
