ok..it's been 45 minuites since he took the four gel tabs, and it's the most as far as I know he has taken. He asked me to update you guys on how he's doing, I don't know why but I'll go ahead. At this moment he is only telling me about color and shape...but it's still pretty close to when he took them so I woudn't expect anything different. BTW this is Amanda...his new wife :) if you were wondering about the "he"s. I'll try to keep you posted but he is having me document this in writing too and I'm going to devote most of my time to that work, but I'll keep this updated as much as possible. Qoutes are things he's told me...again I know this is strange but eh thats how he is lol.

"Isn't it rather strange how the bottle breaths? I find it quite alarming really, I mean who would have thought they had lungs. Again I say this is a strange drift from reality that I only hope will continue."
-Ok...he's gone back to staring at a paper towel. I think this is going to be a long night. If anything noteable happens/says anything "strange" I'll keep you guys posted..also how would I go about making my own account....I know this may be a strange question but wondering.

Ok just a quick update. hes found his way over to his beanbag and is just sitting there with his colored pencils, pastels, and acrylic paints. I'm not too sure what he's painting..every time I walk over towards him he asks me to leave (nicely, but I can tell it's getting into his personal space). It looks like a face, bottle, and dripping eyes..but thats just a quick look. Only one good thing he's said so far since the last post was:

"I think the world is to...(pause to look out the window to see what the noise was "the wind") to willing to push us off into little rooms...(again another pause, don't know what for this time)...causing us to (another pause, again reason unknown) see only what our group can see. Being hearded keeps us in...in line."

Thats it really...wrote that one down b/c I think it is a pretty good point. Um..I'll keep posting and if anyone is interested I'll email them the copy of the more indept writen record, b/c he's going to use this as a "source" for his psychology class on some psycoanylazation or whatever...lol..I'm going for a math degree so no idea of what that is...

Alright, another update. I went out to the kitchen to get a glass of water only to find him standing triumpantly next to his new painting when I got back...spinning in a circle, listening to Stephan Mikes (a wonderful citar or sitar..whatever musician). I'll try to get the painting posted..no guarentees though because I don't think I could figure out how to use that part of this site. He's been in almost a euphoria...this huge endless grin across his face like a child on christmas so I'm hoping it stays good b/c if it goes bad sorry but I'm going to have to stop writing this and tend to him...he's gone off pretty bad in the past. I tried to ask him why he was spinning only to have him abruptly stop, stare me straight in the eye and reply:

"Hmm...the walrus makes for a rather comfortable chair don't you think?"
-he's since gone back to spinning.

And I have know idea what he means by this, just assuming that he's off on a trip somewhere.

He's finally stoped spinning and has asked me to plug one of his guitars and let him play. Although I did find it pretty amusing when he rejected his gibson for his first act he's had forever...maybe the gold set him off but he didn't want to have anything to do with the les paul and would rather play the childs guitar...I'll try to get the sound recording of this whole night posted somwhere also...although the speaker is usually by me so my clicking fingers probally take up a lot of the air tim..I'll move it more over to him. Sorry this time no particular qoute stood out execpt for the above..

Another update. Oh and I haven't taken acid myself because I am writing this for him from an observers standpoint, he wanted me to document the effects acid had on his answers to the following questions:

1.Your Name (still uneffected execpt once when he answered Bob Joseph..see qoute)
2.Date: "I could never quite remember time, its just to fast for me to catch it."
    3.My Name/Relationship: uneffected
4.Where are you: This sparked many different answers
    -"The river"
    -"The den (correct)"
-"Hmm..now thats a useless question now isn't it."
-"It's all relative to where your mind currently finds itself...(pause) Knowwhere is acutally real (laughed then contiuned to paint)"

So that being covered he is now reading "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas"...with his attention span probally this will only last for another few minuites. He's also been having a few dips in his trip...a few moments ago he was crying in the middle of the floor...only to then start playing his guitar again and singing (again a reason to post the audio). So I think this is going to be a night where he jumps around quite a bit so he may be a handfull..I'll keep you posted.

Oh I thought I'd add to give you more of a perspective of how much I love listening to him tripping...he's from England, and he's got a pretty harsh accent...coincidentaly (never could spell that) he was raised in the same area as Paul, and I love to listen to him talk, sing, or whatever when he's triping..makes me think I'm listening in on John or George....plus who can resist a guy with an accent ;). Anyway..maybe that will let you experience this a little more.....lol...I guess I don't really know why I shared that but oh well.

Back to his night. He's been messing around with variations of C, Am, F, G, E, D, and a little fingerpicking on his guitar..plus his wah and amp is set to a really unique sound he somehow figured out, almost a "blurry" underwater sound...he changed to his fender also...saying the first act:

"It nipped at my fingers, I'm lucky just to have come away intact."

At one point I popped in Yellow Submarine which he stared at for a good while (relative to how long he spends doing anything..i've never seen him do so much while on acid before). I'll leave you with a qoute he had regarding time (if you haven't seen the movie they go through a time...well some weird place where time changes speed):

"Time is only an illusion used to shorten your precious time alive. No reason to rest dear, keep your eyes open, you'll see more of youself."
-again he's come up with a logical thought that to me seems quite...philisopical maybe? Or it could just be ramblings. I'll post again when something interesting happens.

editing this..forgot the bob joseph qoute:

"Bob Josheph is my name...I'm sure of it. If not it'd make for a rather good name if you did not want to be rememberd...who remembers a Bob Joseph..not I. Ah ha...Call me Senator."

Another update. He's been rather calm lately, still reading his book. Everynow and then he'll look up at me smile and go back to reading, seems to take comfort when I'm close to him (opposite of his previous behavior) because when I walk out to get a drink or use the bathroom he looks very nervous and even starts to call for me if I've been gone for more than a few moments. He's been rather boring really, but I'll keep posting if anything happens. I'd like to have a qoute for each post..but he hasn't really said much lately and I think he's quite content....to read his book. Never mind, mid sentence he closed the book and started to reach for his guitar again.

Okay he's finally situated with his guitar and enjoying himself once again...and being rather loud as well. He's playing "Magical Myster Tour" right now, and is trying to sing the words....but they are totally different except for a few lines here and there. He's telling me he can see the sound comming from his amp:

"Its radiating from the speakers dear. Quiet pretty I must say. Red, Green, and Blue mixed in the most extrodany way."

Seems like I could get a qoute out of him...maybe this post won't be as short as I thought. Also he's started to rhyme almost everything he says in an errie Alice in wonderland sort of way...almost like he's "singing" his thoughts to the tune of the song. It'll actually make for a nice song once he's sobered up and I show him what I have writen..I'll post that once this is done..or he'll acutally probally post it tomarrow or wednesday. But no big qoutes...so I'll leave it here.

Well, he said you asked for an update...and being that you are soo helpful :) I'll write you one. (He said to keep it from my perspective so I will) He started off fine untill after playing what sounded like a thunderstorm on his bass, very unique actually, he then made his way over towards our couch in the den. Now a thing to note about Al he is a vegan and against everything that harms an Animal (Our couch is leather so he NEVER uses it, it came with the house and a new one would be to expensive). After about what seemed like a few minuites he began to roll around on the couch, mumbling something I couldn't understand. He then shot straight up and, sitting there eyes wide open, he yelled:

"I don't really like this....(seems like he was just looking at the couch) I think I'd rather.....(long pause, probally about two minuites). You know? I don't quite know what I'd rather do."

From there on it was if he had transported himself into the depths of his most foul hell. I have never seen him so mad before (after reading through I thought I should note this is used as crazy), he was ready to destroy the couch. After speaking with him the next night (after many cups of tea, coffee, and a few hot showers) he told me that the only thing he could think of to escape the enclosing room (he discribed it as the wall threatening to close around him, not actually closing) was to remove the couch and destroy it. Again this was beyond my control so I told him it would be taken care of, and I recomended to go lay down in our meditation room (sand floor, a small (very small) "stream" and a few nice sized rocks). At first he seemed fine, almost like a complete rejuvination of himself. He hopped right onto his rock and sat there silently for a few moments. Thinking he would be alright I mistakenly left the room to find him a blanket because he was complaining he was a bit too cold.

Upon returning to the room I found him still in what appeared to be deep meditation, only he was speaking very quietly to himself (these are the last qoutes of the night after this soaring eagle gave me some amazing advice to feed him some vitamins and put him to rest for the night):

"The plane expands forever dear. Have you not noticed this? No way to find my way home. (this is where he starts to talk to himself) No way to navigate. This place, it seems, will only continue to destroy my mind..bit by bit, moment by moment. No escape I see, no salvation....."

He then trailed off and I became extremely worried. I left the room to grab my laptop and hurried back, logged on, and sought help. After being told to feed him vitamins I rushed to my pantry where I keep my rather large assortment of vitamins, herbs, and other useful treats. I fed him twice the dose on the bottle and helped convince him (god only knows how) to follow me into the bed room. Once I got him in there, he started to calm down. I put on his favorite movie (yellow submarine) but only had him ask me to turn it off because it was too much of a distraction, but thats not too strange he's asked this before.

Thats really the end, we were both hoping it would continue throughout the night, but I really needed to bring him down and snap him out before anything permenant was done. He's since recovered (he's taken the past two days easy) and was quite pleased with the results of his "experiment". Wish him luck on his paper..and I'll try to get the audio, notes, and later video of the breakdown (couldn't take notes b/c I was too busy helping him). Also if anyone is interested I'll ask him to post the paper as well once he has finished it. I hope it was an enjoyable read, at least interesting, and maybe sparked a few other to want to try this magical drug.

Does not seem like you guyes go too much done, you should have went outdoors, then you would have a book full of quotes, visuals, actions etc... to write about.
The problem was the limited space which does not match with the acid trip (at least in my opinion) when im on acid i need to explore, watch clouds, listen to music (Led Zeppelin - Tea for one) talk to friends, draw the sky with a lit cigarette.. !!! That kind of stuff stimulates criativity, not lying arround doing nothing !!

    Bye !!

Sure will do, I actually think I have a program now that lets me shrink pics down...so i'll give that a try. yeah I know what you mean about the closed space, and I think that may have been what set me off. It was raining outside and i thought I'd get that warm and compy feeling that comes from sitting in the house on a rainy day...guess not. I'll try to get those pics posted asap..gotta figure out the gimp but once I get the program I'll give you guys a look.

    Peace, love, and health,

    Al
