So here is my new brow piercing! Got it today with a 16 ga curved barbell. It didn't hurt much when it happened and it doesn't hurt at all now. I've wanted this thing for years and I can't believe I waited so long to get it! I can't tell you how many "brow piercing aftercare" websites I have visited, and how many BMEzine eyebrow piercing experience stories I have read through the years. I'm going to take really good care of it and hopefully it won't get infected or reject. Wish me luck!
lookin good i never did any of those things, in fact didnt know i was gettin mine till seconds before i got it i think i only worried bout keepin it clean the 1st 2 days..and after that i always completely forget its there unlessa dread catches on it yours looks great on you
Thanks you guys! soaringeagle, being a little more spontaneous and less obsessive is something I am working on and getting better about. Though I've wanted this piercing for years and have gotten myself psyched up about getting it many times without following through, today was different. I just did it, without a whole lot of thought or worry involved, and I'm very glad I did. On another note, I'm glad to hear that your piercing healed up nicely without needing a lot of attention. How long have you had yours?
hmm think bout 4 years i didnt do much special, just used dr bronners teatree soap in my hair and when irinced let it rince over the peircing that was about it but when i was younger i did over 30 self peircings with safety pins and never had any probs with those either, so maybe i'm alittle more resistant maybe?
4 years, that's great! Yes, I too did the self-piercing-with-a-safety-pin-thing several times when I was younger with no problems...so I'm hoping this piercing follows suit.
^Thanks I woke up a little while ago expecting it to be swollen and sore--none of the above. It looks and feels the same it did before bed. So far so good.
^Thanks. You should go for it...I know, it's only the second day but so far my experience has been very good. Hey I just checked your gallery and you've got great eyebrows.
looks really good on you. i have the same peircing on the same side too! i love mine. ive had it for a lil over a month. i did it with a safety pin and just left the pin in the six weeks and then put a curved bar in. eyebrow piercings are so sexy . i lovers them. i like your hair too its pretttyyy =]
Thanks Mrs. Morrison! Wow a safety pin in yer face for 6 weeks..must've gotten some funny looks from passersby.
I like your brow piercing. I just had mine done last week too. I can't see myself piercing myself with a pin or needle.
that looks awesome on you! I was debating getting mine done the other day...still contemplating it....but I also have my nose an labret done....I think that it migh be too much, lol
...barbell. The barbell is 8 mm and the balls are 3mm...down from 10 mm barbell and 4 mm balls. The long one was great for the initial piercing but over time, as the swelling had gone down and as the piercing had adjusted more to my face, the original jewelry was too long and the large balls tended to get bumped. Since putting in the shorter barbell and smaller balls, it feels great (lighter & totally out of the way) and never gets bumped. I probably could have used so many fewer words to put this statement together but oh well. Here are pictures to compare the size difference. (Though I might like the bigger balls better...but I'll wait to start wearing those again when the piercing is completely healed)
I like the smaller ones. But then, that's just me...all my piercings have smaller balls in them, too. After seeing your pic, I really wanna get mine done now, too, lol!
