My grandfather has been on his deathbed for a long while now and was supposed to die over a year ago now...the time is getting very near and strange things are happening in his home where he is being cared for by nurses and my dad and uncles. My grandfather asked my dad a few days ago if he could tie him to his chair so that "they couldn't come and take me away". My grandfather has also been talking about dead friends of his, "Where did Greg go? He was just sitting right there?" and "Hey, there's Julius, he came to say hello." Stuff like that...and he knows these people's last names and they actually are people that have passed on that he had known when he was alive. Then there are the voices that my dad has heard while staying the night there (someone always has to spend the nights with him because my grandfather can't take care of himself), saying "WAKE UP!" when my grandfather's oxygen tank had disconnected (which he cannot live without having). One of my uncles, when he stayed the night there, has had someone tap on his shoulder when no one in the house has been awake. AND THEN, two nights ago, another one of my uncles saw a fairy fly through the room. I know this all sounds crazy, but my dad is a level headed guy that doesn't believe in this kind of thing...now he really believes after experiencing them. And I do too... Do you believe in spirits, ghosts, supernatural stuff like that? Any insteresting stories? I really want to see a fairy...I wished I would have spent the night there the night it was flying through the living room
wow, thats very interesting...his time isn't over and it seems the spirits are helping him out until he experiences something or sees that one person who he has been wanting to see before he finally is able to fully let go. i do believe in this type of stuff. when i was a freshman in college, my great grandmother wasn't doing to well. something happend and she had to be rushed to the hospital, they didn't think she'd make it throught the day. but she did and seemed to be getting better. during this time, my dad called my school and told them what happened and that i needed emergencry leave (being that i was a recruit, i couldn't just leave) and he was on his way up to get me. so my dad gets up there and we drive back to boston (3 hours) and go to the hospital to find out she was moved to a place where they send peopel to die because she was doign good and then turned back to doing bad. so we rushed over there and i entered the room by myself and there was this glow around her and she seemed soo happy to see me....just seemed like she stayed alive so that i could get there to see her. she passed away about 4 hours after i went home for the night.
There are spirits everywhere, I see them I even had one knock a book off my table once. I once felt a kiss on the side of my mouth and woke and saw a ghostly figure of a little girl sitting at the corner of my bed. Spirits run strong with me.
Alot of Strange Things Happend When my Father was Killed... Such as Hearing Someone Running up Staris When No One Else in House... My Name being Called...From my Room When No One Else is in There... Lamp Shade Rocking Like Crazy When No Breeeze or Anything in Room... Non Existant Flames... But it Ony Happend at that Time...Nothing Anymore...
bizarre things happen around me all the time. i was once told that i "wake places up." i just fingured i was bizarre and seeing things. people only see bizarreness when i there, so dave assumes things follow me about. i haven't had ANYTHING strange happen here, though, so that's really nice. maybe i hypnotize people into my own sort of insanity. but dave has definitely become a believer.
i'd so have that place burning to the ground in half an hour...then a great big gaping chasm would open up underneath it to swallow what remained. seriously, bizarre shit happens around me. i think my vibe is broken or something.
i think it really says something about my own mind that i was totally okay with ghosts and other stuff, but the fairy made me skeptical.
I think it's that time. My dad said that my grandpa told my grandma, "God's taking my hand now." Makes me change my mind about a lot of things in my life. None of my family were ever church-going folks...I didn't know if spirits or ghosts were real, let alone fairies...I didn't know if I believed in God or not... Strange how one thing in your life can change your mind about what REALLY IS.
I never knew what to believe. I've had people die in my life, but it's always been SUDDENLY, so that stuff had never come up before now. I feel kind of crazy at this point...I lost my mom about six and a half years ago, so I know what my dad is going through right now...and it kills me. This whole situation is killing me...all this new knowledge, this new relationship with my dad...it's very new to me and a part of me doesn't know how to deal with it.
Your world is in so much upheaval at the moment, you are not going to have a hard and fast way of dealing with it. I don't know the situation with your Dad, but I would imagine that you need each other's support right now. I think your Grandfather is letting you know that he is at peace. So you and your Dad, should grieve, but also take comfort in that he is moving on peacefully. I lost my Mom a few years back, and I'm real shaky about the idea of losing anyone else in my life. It really dealt me a hard blow. But I think those spirits around you may be angels and maybe they are looking out for you too. I hope that you can find some peace and comfort through your ordeal.
I wanna check that place out so bad........ after seeing the ghost hunters there, and vh1 had some celebrity paranormal researchers there as well. its a hotbed of paranormal activity, thats for sure.
My daddys family ..and myself have been magnets for spirits..we seem to attract them..every place I have lived throughout my life has had some activity..my current home sits on ground that used to be a slave plantation, and we have had all sorts of things happen..toys turning on..when the batteries are dead and the on switch is in the off posistion..being watched...the animals wagging their tails as if saying hello to someone that just walked in the room...but, they mean no harm..and I talk to them as I would anyone..and treat them with respect.
Hello Annie, I have had three 'ghostly' experiences in my lifetime so far, and I am extremely intruiged by this arena. I really wonder exactly what is going on during a ghostly experience - with age does come wisdom, and at this age, I am not certain that we should confine the explanation for a ghost to being one of "someone who died there", or things of that nature. Although, a majority of the ghostly experiences do involve a certifiable death that did take place there - but like in your Grandfather's case, he seemed to be having visitors from others who had died - but they didn't die there. I entertain the thought that it could be something or someone there on another dimension; but nevertheless; no matter what the specific explanation is, there exists some sort of force of energy there - and when you feel a ghostly presence, you feel it so strongly so that you must turn around and look, because surely someone must be there in the room with you. The first ghostly presence I experienced was in Florida; we had just moved into an older home we intended to rent indefinitely. The very first night, after we dropped off our first load of furniture, as we backed down the long driveway that ran along side of the house, I noticed what looked like flames dancing on the kitchen curtains! I called to my friends, "Look - is there a fire in the kitchen?" We all ran back in, and sure enough, there was a fire blazing in the kitchen coming up from a box that was sitting on the stove, and it had already caught the wooden cabinets above it on fire. Keep in mind that noone in our moving party smoked anything; the stove was electric, and when we checked the surface of it, it was cold - the box had not caught on fire from the stove. The box contained dishes, no matches, etc. The fire was contained in the top of the box and the cabinets above it. The strange thing was, even if it had started due to a cigarette left or due to the stove being on, the advancement of the fire was inordinately fast-moving; it was wierd. Anyway, we put it out and went about the move; but we never discovered the cause of the start of the fire. That night, I was sitting on the sofa across from this old player piano we had - it was Christmas time, and I had put a small glass-encased candle on top of it and lit it. I recall that I was looking directly at the candle when all of a sudden, it flew off the piano to the left onto the floor and immediately caught the rug on fire, and it started blazing fast!! I called to my friends,"another fire!" We put this one out; afterward, I explained to them how strange it was that the candle just flew off the piano - we took a level to the piano, and it was precisely level - and neither was the floor. Here again, no explanation for the cause of the candle flying. The next day, I was alone in the house, and went to the back bedroom to start unpacking things. It was the only room in the house that had no carpet - it had linoleum tile. I was kneeling down, looking through a box, and all of a sudden, I got a creepy hairs-rising-on-the-back-of-your-neck kinda feeling and then I heard what was the sound of footsteps behind me - it went 'squish, squish', just like if someone had sneakers on and they were walking across linoleum tile. That really freaked me out, because I was supposed to be alone in the house, so I braced myself and suddenly turned around to see who it was, and nobody was there! Then, the creepy feeling faded somewhat; but the incident was so unsettling that I left the house immediately. That night, another fire situation happened when the very hard-to-open door on the old oil burning heater in the hallway suddenly popped open, and danced flames out into the hallway. We awoke and closed the door, but we distinctly remembered securing it before retiring. I told the girls at work about these incidents the next day, and one of them said, "You have a ghost in that house - betcha someone died there." This gave rise to me calling the owner of the house. I asked her, "I need to ask you a question ... did someone die in that house?" Her answer was, "Well, actually; yes, someone did; it was the last tenant. Have you noticed the back bedroom is the only room in the house without carpet?" I said, "Yes." She went on, "That's because I had to remodel it - the previous tenant, a man, fell asleep smoking a cigarette in bed, and the whole room caught on fire, and he died there." I mean to tell you, I got chills all over me. She added, "I didn't tell you that before because when I have told people, they don't rent the house, and I need to rent it; I'm sorry. How did you know, anyway?" I told her about the fire incidents, and she really freaked out about that! Anyway, I told her we could no longer stay there, and she gave us our deposit back, and we moved. Annie - I am known to be an unusually sensible female - I'm not hysterical in emergency-type situations - I keep my head about me, and I like things that make sense. But my experiences with the paranormal world have opened my mind to the existence of something we know not of - and I would really love to pursue the avenue to determine exactly what it going on there. With all of the advanced technological equipment available to us nowadays, there's got to be a way to pin it down. In closing, I want to tell you that I have lost ones that I loved, and it is a heart-wrenching experience. But, with time, I have always come to find a level of acceptance with their absence, and then be able to recall them in a good way, without the sorrow. Even thought they are no longer here in this world, I carry them with me, in here - and the things that they taught me serve me well every day, so in a sense, they are still with me, you know? Take good care of yourself, and if you want to hear my other two ghost stories, let me know. I just didn't have time to do so today.
my husband pulled up to his house and saw someone part the upstairs curtain, then slowly move it back. so he raced into the house to beat the ass of whoever broke in. no one was there.
They are restoring that place from the ground up, It's a protected site. Its on the historic register. There was one guy who owned it before who wanted to tear it down and put a statue of Jesus in it's place but the county would not let him. He tried to demolish it by bulldozing around the foundation, but the foundation didn't give out. Then he let people go inside and demolish windows and other parts of it hoping to get it condemed so he could tear it down, but that failed to so he sold it. The current owners are restoring it, whitch i suport as I have a thing for historic building's and cant see destroying them when they can still be put too use. Still it is a spooky place and someone with the right vibes might be able to destroy it with all the spirit activity there.
Ive had numerous experiences with the paranormal, i couldnt even tell you how many ghosts/spirits Ive seen. My organization comes to peoples houses that have paranormal activity and we help determine what it is and do research. So, I can tell you this, Ive seen alot of wierd things, that cant be explained, but i have never seen a fairy. And if your Uncle saw a fairy, that is really beautiful and magical. I have never got a house call for a fairy! That really makes me want to extend my researches. also, much love to you and your family. :daisy: Its obvious he is going to a good place. people he love are already greeting him and hes being watched over very closely.
