oh man i was into manson so much back in the day i mean seriously into him. i would have sex while watching his music videos and to this day i can not watch a manson video without getting so turned on. i still listen to his music and i still thinks he is the sexiest man alive. my hubby thinks im crazy for listening to manson and pretty much drooling over him but hey thats fine with me cuz i dont judge him.
I love Manson's music. He's so damn good at mixing awesome beats with a rock sound. His voice is really cool too. I also have a lot of respect for the guy, really. Whenever I've seen him on tv, he seems to be incredably intelligent and well-read.
from like 7th - 10th grade i was a FANATIC. i still love him though. & he turns me on too, fallenfairy!! like no other
Yep he is very intelligent and his voice is unique..I don't know why some of you don't like him.His style is very nice, his make ups are very cool too
Different tastes, man. I for example don't like his style at all, it's over the top and just doesn't appeal to me. May be it did if I digged his music, but I don't do that at all. I think his vocals are horrible and most of his songs doesn't do a thing to me at all.
When I was younger I didn't mind some of his stuff, but it's become so laughable. I don't find him particularily smart either. Oh snap, the man has opinions, gee, I thought was a mindless drone. Just what has manson said or done that would justify praise upon his intelligence?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAHAAAAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! THAT WAS SO GOOD!!!! ...............Yeah but I like maybe 5 of his songs.....Maybe.....
I don't like Marilyn Manson for the sole fact I despise all the mindless zombies he has created. The music of his I have listened to I did not really like.
Manson shall never deserve to be in the metal book, he's nonsense, all real metal fans should reject him.
Manson is very good. Metallideth you said "Just what has manson said or done that would justify praise upon his intelligence?" there are far too many things that this man has said that are beyond profound....his music is totally different from anything else out there. if there is anything out there like it, its a rip off. i haven't liked his last two albums but Anti-Christ is brilliant, i mean amazing. one of the greatest albums of all time, from a musician and engineering stance.
Yep the Anti-christ one was very cool,I liked it very much..Manson is so cooool.I like the album cover too,it was very nice Image uploaded by uploadit
I like his re-make of a lot of older songs....and , he is artistic in the way he created himself....it makes me want to spend a bit of time just getting inside his head to find out who he REALLY is !!!
I didn't get into Manson until well after his popularity faded. I rented one of his dvds to get ideas for my band, and I noticed that the stuff on Holywood was similar to some songs I had written. His theaterical ideas were similar too. I was very "when did Manson start writing actual songs?". I like his old stuff more now, but I've never really taken well to his less melodic, industrial approach. Mechanical Animals is almost like 70s Bowie mixed with 90s influences, I like it quite a bit. Holywood is a monster of an album. There's a lot of really good writing there. As far as Manson's intelligence, the best advice I can give is to try and figure it out for yourself. His lyric writing is among the best in rock or metal, I'd rank him up there with people like Warrel Dane and the pre-Chinese Democracy Axl. To do everything he's done, you have to be really damn smart. Manson was never a sellout either. Mechanical Animals was almost the antithesis of what he built the Marilyn Manson identity on and it cost him most of his following(even if he had a decent fanbase left). I remember how most of his fans didn't really understand what he was doing and just assumed he was trying to abandon them for the mainstream. I think he was more trying to test his fans and mess with the mainstream.
Oh i love Manson. I think he's extreamly hot and his lyrics and great. The first album i bought of his was Mechanical Animals. I loveeee The Last Day On Earth. His early stuff was the best though. I didn't really like Golden Age Of Grotesque that much. It was just...different. Oh well. AS is amazing. I love how it tells a story. Yeah....go manson. lol.
