No, coffeeshops don't raise their prices during the Cannabis Cup. Only about 10% of the coffeeshops in Amsterdam enter the Cup. And no, restaurants don't raise their prices either. The Cannabis Cup only attracts about a 1,000 tourists for the week, which is only a small % of the tourists in Amsterdam.

as far as i can tell no,but their cup entires are typically pricer or they have shitty clauses like in the dampkring where you couldnt buy it unless you were participating or barneys which only let you buy 1 gram.

As I've always said, there are too many good Coffeeshops around to put up with disrespect from ANY of them. I sure hope I can buy more than a gram of the cup entries, but really who cares because I'll be buying plenty of other stuff that's great like Orange Bud & NYC Diesel... sure there'll be plenty of those (I hope!). I'm always up for trying out new strains but I bet it will be a bit expensive for the entries. I don't care though, that's why I'm there... wanna explore the newbies. Less than 2 weeks from now I'll be sitting in a coffeeshop WOOHOO
Well wouldn't it make sense that the coffeeshop Cannabis Cup entries were higher priced than most of the rest of their menu. Would you enter your cheaper products? Sometimes the Cannabis Cup entries are in limited supply. When judges pay $200 they bought the right of first crack at the entries. The Cup only lasts 5 days.
Judges still have to buy the entries from the coffeeshops....it adds up fast! Prices don´t go up for the cup but supplies of the best smoke run out fast! Buy early!!!
