hi i have had my glass pipe for a couple of months and it has gotten really dirty where it is starting to like clog up in the mouth piece hole and the rush hole and i was wondering what is the best way to clean out all that resin inside it with out boiling it because i am in college and i cant exactly boil water anywhere so if you have any suggestions they would be much appreciated
tricky to get crap like that out without hot water, get a hotplate. I use oxiclean and dump boiling water with a bunch of oxiclean, the bubbles really break up the grime. Rinse well I dont know whats in oxiclean but it dosent look organic by any means.
leave the resin in, just take n incence stick and poke oit all the holes, smoke what sticks tothe stick but leave all the rest in the pipe if the pipe ever breaks, god forbid, but that is when you smoke the resin in memory of the pipe
good idea i dont think it will because it is tripple blown but it is less work for me i just cleaned the holes and it made it alot more smoother i got a pretty good chunk of resin just from the mouth peice and rush hole about a half inch ball of resin im about to smoke it right now thanks alot
I take a q-tip and take the cotton off. Then I loosen the resin by poking it all inside the pipe. Get a paper plate put finger over bowl end & blow air through my carb. The resin will come out of my mouthpiece & I aim for the plate. I keep doing it until its all cleaned. Works everytime,I just throw the resin away though. I have no need for it.:spliff:
I heard something about leaving the pipe in alcohol, that it would remove the resin. You then leave the alcohol to evaporate and you'd have the resin. Am i wrong?
yup.... Put the peice in a bag with the strongest % rubbing alcohol u can get (70+ works if I remember right) and let it soak in it. then shake the bag trying to get the alcohol inside to loosen the resin. continue this for as long as you can stand then drain the alcohol through a coffee filter (in the shower drain at the dorms, i do it all the time... but i just run really hot water through cuz i dont save resin) and alot of it should be done. Then run hot water through the pipe and shake it while you do that. Gets it almost completely clean.
