Poppy Pod Tea

    I just purchased 20 dried medium poppy pod heads. So to my understanding, cut the pod, dump the seeds, and crush the pod and make the tea from it? I also only want the buzz to last for about 4-6 hours. How much of the pod would I need to use to achieve this. I'm 6'3" 230.

    Well, you got the method about right, once you grind the pods up, put them in a big mixing bowl with ALMOST boiling water, and dump in some lemon juice or something else acidic, then let that sit for 30 minutes, then strain and drink. (Other flavors can be added obviously, the juice is to aid extraction)
    As for how much, well that depends on where you purchased them, and what strain of poopy they are. I say, make all 20 (I usually make about 18-20 myself) and get about 2 gallons worth of tea out of them, and start with one coffee cup worth of it. Wait about 1 hour and a half, if it's not as strong as you like have another.
