I have developed these little red bumps around the dreads that are closest to my neck. Does anyone know of any oil or anything I could put on these to get rid of the itchy bumps? I was thinking they developed due to the change of seasons. Dry skin sucks!
I have the same thing, but they dissapear in time. Sometimes they're there sometimes not, for example when I put my locks in a ponytale they pull too hard on my skin and they come, but next day sometimes they are gone :S it's strange..
Yea tea tree gets rid of them I had em in the back of my head from my dry scalp. I also have them on my forehead now I put lotion on them in front They should go away from lotion or tea tree

yeah im having the same prob i got braids and its pulling on my head i think thats is whats causing it but it itches like hell and some of the bumps hurt please help and whats whis lotion that your going on about (im english)
wait is this like tea tree shampoo like the stuff in the green bottle? Isnt that bad for dreads as it has tons of crap in it?
you dont need anything those are also known as braid bumps.it happens when the hair is pulled really tight it goes away dont scratch or it makes it itch like hell and it also casuses it to scab up like a bite or something i used to get em all the time when i braided my hair with cornrolls and designs its nothing to worry about
Yeah, I had those at the scalp when I made my roots uber-tight and put bands on them. They go away, just soothe them with aloe/water/love/ganja/mud? whatever.
