What do you guys think of him?

Smart motherfucker. Turned a run down neighborhood in Chi-Town around, went to Harvard Law, and is extremly passionate concerning how fucked up things got in the past few decades.

I think he could turn it around. Go to his site and read a few speaches, they are amazingly powerful.

    He's running as a dem!

I like how he recently said that Americans don't need big or small government but smart government. He pointed out that these big vs small government arguments need to be left in the 60's.

Yeah. That whole 2004 presidential election boiled down to 'truth' movements claiming who supposedly had the better military record in the 60s. Jeez. Get over it, people in DC. It's 40 years later. :)

After the Iraq invasion, they even dressed up Bush in his old national guard uniform and had him on that ship in San Diego pretending to be MacArthur. No different than the fantasy of the campaigns.

I don't know, I think the big v. small argument still has a place in politics, but he is right in the sense that smart government is what we really need.

I just saw him speak here in Little Rock... something just seems iffy about him.

We'll see what happens between him and the press if he runs in 2008. Remember what happened to Gary Hart back in the 80s. He looked respectable until the press made a soap opera out of him.

Who knows. Maybe some reporter will catch Obama with 11 items in the 10 items or less aisle.

Obama Rama! When keynote speaker Obama gave his speech at the DNC all the democrats where so impressed! You could see it in their eyes " Presidential material!" What, did this guy invent penicillin or something? It's not because he did anything great but because he's black that created all the fuss! And that's the democrats for you pushing the race minority card.

Great, affirmative action comes to the white house!

He is the perfect candidate and with that comes great speculation and criticism but it comes with a just cause.

I agree with that to an extent, but what we really need is a moral government, instead of the one we've got now that's thrown the ideas of justice and right and wrong out the window (particularly under Bush). Besides, the Republicans have oversaw a huge expansion of government, fascist style, complete with an increasing erosion of our civil rights, despite the fact that they're constantly claiming to be against 'big government'. Give me a break.

That's because he's nothing more than a puppet the Elite want to put into office so the disillusioned people will think they actually live in a democracy. The guy is as fake as a three dollar bill. Can't you people see they're grooming him through the media to run with Hitlery? The guy has NO experience, but what does that matter because the role of President is ALWAYS a puppet position controlled from behind the scenes.

But nevermind because I am just a conspiracy theorist. Ignore me and just go back to watching Wolf Blitzer telling you how it is. Surely the corporate media is more concerned with providing you the truth than me.

I can kind of see that. He just popped out of nowhere and seems to fit the "absolute democrat" stereotype... no one can be like that... there's just something about him that bothers me too much.

Yet again, does it truly matter? Both major parties are practically the same thing anyhow.
