Sorry if these pics are not clear, but do these plants look like dudes? I think they are, but just want some reassurrance before they get chopped.
I hate to say it, looks like a male, but dont quote me on it, heheh. Usually once you see a cluster in that area its male. I usually wait to be absolutely sure. keep it off to the side getting light, just so you know for sure, before hacking. Maybe today, I will get a nice macro shot of a male with my new macro lense. I have a nice female preflower macro pic, but that is fairly easy once you see the two white hairs. Xtbudda...
I've got a three females showing their lovely hairy bits it's just these possible two males I'm unsure of. There are clusters at the nodes that make me thing they're boys. The pollen sacks (if that's what they are) are still very small so no where near opening, so not really threat yet. I'll wait until tomorrow just to be extra sure and get a few opinions before they die. At least they'll grow a bit more before they get turned into hash.
I dont want to even hear about males. I just yanked 4 out and i know i have more to go, hehe, Sometimes I hate missin with seeds. hah But I do have this one Lifesaver, that is holding out alot longer than this other preflowered female, and I am really hoping its a female, as it is by far the shortest stoutest one i have had yet, super bushy and nadda preflower to be found but it is still vegging. The pics are definatly male but one good female can produce unlimited numbers of clones. Caring for and rotating mothers is a good topic because many think they need to keep the same mom forever. This isnt true however and clones from clones make fine new mothers. The only factor is good selection of strongest clones for new moms. BOG
Cheers BOG, appreciate the confirmation. They shall become hash in the very near future. I'd love to be able to use clones, but I have very limited growspace and I'm still very much a noob, so for the next grow I'm going to stick with seeds. Once I've mastered that I can then try my cloning techniques and perhaps upgrade my grow closet. ^^ toecup, I was training it for an experiment, but seing as it's a dude it's getting chopped. One of my females is LST, but I've decided to let it gow upwards for the rest of this grow. LST is something I'd very much like to get into, I designed my growspace to accomodate a 12gal tub with a big LST growing in it, that I can perhaps harvest more than once. The grow is entirely for personal use so I don't need to produce very much.
