Synergy (sad poem about love and stars)

Synergy

From the sun I fall away
awaiting the vibrant sound of night
into the distilled darkness I lay
trapping these memories of the stars
so bright

For so long, these stars were in my eyes
penetrating every thought of you
so for once, I closed the stars and cried
hoping you'd see how my love is true

But now my world is dark everywhere
I can't see what's right or what's wrong
I've tried so hard, still your love's not there
pushed from the light,
now I don't belong
