Is there anyone else here that been studying Kevin Trudeau's "Natural Cures They Don't Want You To Know About" books? They have really changed my life since I got them. And opened my eyes to LOTS of things.
Sorry to say but Kevin Trudeau is a fraud. He is only in the health awareness business to make money, thats it. He cares little for the average joe who has a serious medical condition. Yes, the pharmacutical companies are trying to screw everyone but that doesn't mean you completely stop using prescriptions. Yes natural medicine works good if not better compared to pills and surgery but at some point you have use modern medicine.
It doesn't surprise me that some people have bought into the lies being said about him. I happen to trust him fully and there ain't no one that is going to change my mind now.
When you say, I trust him fully, you have to understand he gets all of his natural cures from foreign doctors overseas. So in turn, you trust them fully. Theres nothing wrong with that but Trudeau isn't the genius behind the book, its the real doctors that have the studies and the results.
I haven't read the books, but I've seen the fucking annoying infomercials...and truth is, I agree that pharmeceutical companies screw you over 9 times out of 10, but I agree with hgh... there does come a point and time where modern medicine is worth it, regardless of how much the drug companies suck...the stuff works. Try telling someone who has a real serious condition to stop taking their medication and see what happens... I don't disagree with natural remedies and herbs, but there is a lot more to medicine than just the natural, ancient remedies. If you are not smart enough about prescriptions and surgeries and what not, of course you can find yourself in a terrible place... but use your head and you'll be okay. Also, try telling someone like me, who is allergic to half the natural remedies, to rely on those, alone. I've thoroughly read through other types of literature about natural remedies, that do cure or help symptoms of diseases, but everything I read about, I'm allergic to half of the crap. You also, have to be just as careful with natural medicine as much as prescriptions...just because it comes from nature doesnt make it any safer and people fail to realize that. You can take toxic amounts of a lot of different kind of herbs, such as pennyroyal for example. I wouldn't rely solely on one method of health if I were you, but thats just me. Try looking into integrative doctors that practice both new medicine and natural remedies... I think they are the best thing to go with, but thats just me.
I am aware of that already, thank you. He has studied the information presented by these doctors and that of opposing doctors. And not just a few books or studies. He has read hundreds upon hundreds of books and studies to get all the info possible. I don't recall Kevin Trudeau ever making the claim that he was a doctor, and in my opinion, he doesn't need to be one at all. He gives credit to the real doctors and scientists. He doesn't hog it all like you suggest. Nor does he earn profit from anything he promotes.
all he promotes is his own bank account. see this previous discussion: http://hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=188191
Have any of you actually taken the time to read his books or are you all just basing your feelings about him on what other people have said? That is NO way to make an argument. It's better to hear one's side of the story first and then make your conclusions. It's not right to just condemn someone just because everyone else does. They condemned the man that blew the whistle on the Tobacco Industry and at the time, no one believed him. Now we know it as fact.
Well in all honesty, I wouldn't even read the book after seeing his infomercial, he seemed like a fruit cake to me.
I bought his book and read it, theres a lot of good info but having to go to his website and pay money for more info is a big scam. I dont like the man because of this. Instead of just putting all the info in his book a lot of info is just refered to as "visit my website www.naturalcures.com" You think if you bought the book there could be some kind of ID code where you get the information for free seeing as youve already bought the book. I ordered his second book from the library and its almost exactly the same as his first book. This man has sold his soul for a dollar bill.
sherlock, if you like being bent over...sorry if you are satisfied with recycled info and a demand that you pay more to learn more, that's fine. Don't start a discussion on a controversial figure and expect the world to roll over and say oh, you think he's great, I think he's great , too. I researched a lot on the dude for an article I wrote about the boom in alternative health interest, even tried to get him into the article. I was told flatly that unless my paper had a circulation or above 50,000, he didn't have time. that would be 217 newspapers in the US, by the way.
if kevin trudeau was real, he would give his books away for free to prove he loved everybody... jimi and joni and the dead used to give free concerts to prove they loved everybody
also, what drumminmama says is true plus we as hippies aren't supposed to trust people with short hair and kevin has short hair
Thats a pretty dumb generalization, I just buzzed my hair super short, it takes less time to dry and less shampoo to clean. Whats un-hippy about that.
Sorry, this is old news bro, the real hippys have known that shit since the begining of time. Don't mean to sound like an ass but they have. That guy is just making money off what lots an lots other people have been saying for years! I guess he is reaching new minds though, which is the only good thing I have to say about him. Healthier people are happier people! I am glad to hear you are on the path, no matter how you got there! Congratulatons!
Yeah, sherlock, I'm not trying to single you out and verbally attack the things you believe and like... but I do want to point out, that there are many other resources for this kind of thing besides Kevin Trudeau; instead of paying to read these cures online, you can look up these cures online for free. There are plenty of resources out there, at a way lower cost, if not free, as well as just plain ol' using your common sense. to me, it's always been common sense to not whole heartedly trust drug companies or the government... but you have to in moderation. Being TOO much of an idealist, can be unhealthy, because sometimes you just have to accept the way things are to get by. If you see a way you can change something, by all means go for it... but living life amongst conspiricy theories grows very tiring and bothersome. Try not to rely too much on this is all i'm saying. I'm sure the guy makes a lot of sense, and I'm sure he's got some good things to say... but use your own mind to make important decisions. Good luck to you, <3
The rest of you may have learned about the things he's saying on your own, but I did not. I grew up in a household with two parents, neither of which graduated high school. I didn't have access to all this so-called "information" that had been around for years. My dad had been touting such info as Kevin was stating, but being under my mom's influence, I never believed him. She always, and still does, believe that all medicine is good, all food is safe, and the Government wants to be your friend. I grew up thinking the same thing. That the US was a place where the Government cared for your well-being, all the food in the store was safe, and medicine was a scientific God-send. When I read Kevin's book, my whole world came crashing down. I couldn't believe how I had been taken in by all the lies. Just because the rest of you already know the things Kevin Trudeau is trying to inform the public about, don't go about ruining it for the people like me that are completely clueless and need books like his to learn the truth. I'm not afraid to say that I grew up as a very dumb child, sheltered by my parents, and ignorant to the ways of the world. Kevin Trudeau's information has been a real eye-opener for me. And for those of you saying he doesn't care, he has been offering his second book for free. And I believe if you request his second book from his site, you will be given a chance to obtain his first book for free as well. I did this and all I had to pay for both books was the shipping and handling.
Man, can't you see, you're being brainwashed again? Just like you were as a kid. I don't mean to be harsh, but I can never find it in me to defend a human the way you are defending Kevin Trudeau like he's some kind of god. Ok, you like him, and his advice and what he says, cool, but I certainly wouldn't re-close your mind to what he says. You gotta keep the doors of your mind open to other possibilities, at all times, dig? Not to mention, it's not just about growing up knowing the information; my family is like, strict republican, you know the kind; they think I'm so strange for believing things like acupuncture and herbs and not believing everything I hear on the news and such. I didn't develop that from them, I developed it from myself; my will to think for myself, and research myself. You can't tell me you didn't have information available to you, just because your parents might not have been educated, everyone has the oppurtunity to educate themselves, regardless of how smart their parents are, or even if they go to school; these days it's damn near impossible to not have enough resources for this crap. Look how easy it was for you to buy those books...why didn't you do that before? Why didn't you ever think before to say "hey, I wonder what the hubbub of acupuncture is, and if it works, and how it works" and go to the library and research it. You can't expect everything you know and learn to be convenient, sometimes you have to put that extra foot forward to obtain information. I suppose Kevin's book is good for you, because it's convenient to the public like that; but man, if you want to learn about shit like this, you don't have to go that route, tis all most of us are saying. You can google "Natural remedies" or "natural cures" and get a ton of results and read all of it for free. You can look in an encylopedia at the library for free. All kinds of resources are out there, it's just some are more inconvenient than others, and some take more time to find what you're looking for. Obviously you have internet access or you wouldn't be on here, so why do you think you have the right to blame your lack of information on your parents? You have every oppurtunity this day and age to get to a computer and look something up and educate yourself, it's really not that hard. Everyday I research medical things, psychological issues, world issues, etc. I don't wait for someone else to bring it to me. Instead of backing up Kevin, why dont you use your new knowledge as a gateway to researching more.
If anyone is looking for a good primer for natural wellness and health, I recommend most anything written by Andrew Weil. It's too bad that Kevin guy wants us to go to his website and pay for more info. -that totally sucks.
