Mcafee site advisor is a usefull addon for firefox as it advises you on the suitability of the site you are about to enter. It is usually rated on whether the site contains viruses or spyware - It does this by putting a tick or cross next to links in the pages you view at the search engines. It doesnt prevent you from opening a site but adds a small icon next to the link.
Very much worth the 5 seconds it took to download

Yes, I use this program. It's pretty helpful, although sometimes it picks up links containing things like Microsoft certificates, javascript, and even dhtml scripts as 'potentially unwanted scripts/virus's"

    HELPFUL NONE-THE-lESS!

    Thanks for the link, Columbo

I've been doing a lot more research on siteadvisor and I found out some of the best and most respected people in internet security rely on this addition to firefox.
BTW I am about to make a download available for people with Adblock plus - details later
it will be a set of rules for completely banning zango from your desktop - the rules just need to be imported into your adblock plus - more info in a separate thread
