Just come out and ask, if they say no ask them why, if they cant give a good reason ( Parents usually -always- have reasons though) the day you turn 18 do it and smile big at them......

Go get it done, come home, dont say anything and wait till she says something. Ive done this with every single one of mine and they get used to it in the end and just expect it.

Prove to her that youre competant enough to have it.

Research about piercings. Aftercare, jewellery types and materials, risks and how to spot problems. Research your local piercers. Find a hyper-sterile piercer in your area with a good reputation that you feel comfortable with. Your piercer should use an autoclave, and hopefully an ultrasonic and sterilize all equipment for every piercing, needles are definate one-use only and piercing guns should not be acceptable at all. Multiple sets of gloves should be used for each piercing (at least 3 is a good guideline) and a piercer that provides you with aftercare and information on how to use it and basic piercing information would be ideal. Check out bmezine.com and read up as much as you can, and just ask her straight out as maturely as possible.

I'm 15, I pierced my lip 3 weeks ago.. I didn't ask my mom, I just told her "I'm piercing my lip today." And she flipped out, and screamed at me for 4 hours while I calmly told her that it was my lip, and that if she'd like to kick me out of the house, she's welcome too, I've been asking for permission to leave for over a year now. She finally caved and said ok, and I did it my self with a needle. If "adults" won't recognize the rights teens have as human beings, we need to stand up and firmly take those rights. It's healing quite well, no sign of infection, very little scarring. Hippiehillbilly, I would hope that when you say minors have no rights, you are referring to legal rights in the united states of america? Because quite obviously, minors are human beings, and therefore have rights. You, however, have no right to call yourself a hippie--you're merely an agist, self-important, bigoted, broom-up-the-ass old codger. A hillybilly you might be, in the most derogatory sense of the word, but a hippie you're not.

lmao i did that too. i remember when i pierced my eyebrow, i was like i wanna show you something. and lifed my hair outta my eyes and showed her the safety pin sticking threw my eyebrow. she just sighed and asked me when i was gonna put a bar in it. lmao. i didnt ask when i first pierced my lip either. i stayed over a friends house and came home and showed her. she liked that one. when i peirced my nose. we were in the car and im like "can we go to walmart i gotta pick up a nose ring. im gonna pierce my nose today " and shes like "ohh that will be pretty ok!" and then i pierced my lip again about two weeks ago and i did the same thing with her as i did with my nose. shes kind of layed back like that

Just go to a piercer and if they want ID, just go get fake id. and get it done. When your Mom flips out then you just role with it. There may be threats and plenty of negativiy. The worst that can happen is your out 60 bucks and you have to take it out. If your Mom loves you you will be forgiven.

lol--don't tell him that, then if his mom doesn't forgive him, he'll think she doesn't love him :p

Well, if you just DO IT, then I doubt she's gonna rip it out of your lip?

Just come straight out and ask. I pretty much told my parents I was getting it done, and on my 18th birthday they knew it was out of their hands. The only reason my mum didn't take me is because my dad would've killed her. It took enough persuasion to get him to say yes to my bellybutton.

The best advice I have is to not mention her piercings. Parents get mad when you say, "Well you did it! Why can't I?" Or just say it in a different way. If she says no over and over again, just do it anyway.
