Holy shit. I've been waiting for this book to be turned into a film for four years. Whatever you do... read the book, see the movie. It's ridiculous... but it's friggin amazing and whatnot. It'll be in theatres on Friday. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0439289/
Natalie: Are you ready? Augusten Burroughs: For what? Natalie: To play "Doctor." Hope: What are you guys doing? [Augusten is wired with electrodes to his face] Natalie: Electro-shock therapy. Hope: Awesome! Dr. Finch: Hope... You are, by far, my favorite daughter. Dr. Finch: [taking out some pills] Would you like some of these? Augusten Burroughs: What are they? Dr. Finch: I just got some samples in the mail, so I don't know.
I'd like to see that movie. I didn't know it was a book. I'll now have to read the book before Friday.
i read that book about a year ago, it was so good i read it twice. i liked the book because it starts when he is a little kid and is actually written from the point of veiw of a small child & the older he gets throughout the book, the way he describes & sees things matures along with him. i dont know if that makes sense but you gotta read the book to understand. i hope the movie is as good.
uhhh...i justed looked at the movies imdb....the charachter natalie is supposed to be all fat & sloppy-lookin & the broad they have playing her is thin & pretty. but then gabrielle union i think will make a good dorothy & i think anette bening will be really good as a psychotic lebian poet
