So I finally bought some 15x. Tried it and it wasent enjoyable at all! It wasent really frightening except for the mild anxiety of the "Fear of the unknow" while taking the bong rip. Held it in and all noises sounded like a disc skipping then nothing was recognizable what so ever. I didnt know who I was, what I was, what language I spoke, and I REALLY wanted to find out NOW! All was like a yellow/orange'ish flame all around me then all of a sudden my vision and cognitive ability started to come back through the curtain and things were more recognizable and my face sweaty and hot as hell.

Oh and a faint memory of when I was 12 and got hit in the head with a baseball (17 years ago) came to me during the trip but that was it.

    Basically it sucked.

Sounds like you did salvia to get simply f-ed up. If you did a little more rreasearch , you'd find out that it isn't a very good recreational drug. Salvia is a very powerful hallucinogen that should be used in teh right way. The bad thing is that if people have bad trips on salvia, they don't understand or learn anything.

Well I was hoping it would be something I could intereact with. Like having a dream that I can control. Just like once when I had a vivid dream that I could control when I was being chased by Al Sharpton wearing a Jason mask. I turned myself into a Ninja and defeated him. I was so excited that I woke myself up. I went back to sleep hoping I could have a interactive dream again but forgot what else I dreamed about.

Either get a smaller extract or learn how to lucid dream.

salvia may interact with you, but you certainly aren't going to interact with it!

sometimes you're in charge, sometimes the chemical is - with salvia it's the latter

I've found that when I smoke it I'm unable to have any control over what happens in my visions. However, if I chew the leaves as a quid, my ego maintains a degree of consciousness and control over what is happening. Somewhat similar to lucid dreaming, although it's still very different.

Full effects kick in about 30 minutes after you start chewing (you'll notice some minor distortions after 15 minutes), and then they last anywhere from 1 to 1.5 hours. After about 1.5 hours you'll be pretty much back to your old self, but I would avoid driving until an additional hour has passed. So, total amount of time from start until you're completely back to normal would be about 2 to 3 hours, but it differs for everyone.

Yes, sometimes the quid method will not work well for some people, but there's nothing wrong with giving it a try! I hit a mild level 4 when I used the quid method for the first time and I only used 10 medium sized leaves. I'm beginning to think that I'm more sensitive to Salvia than most people.

Anyways, here's the best way to use the quid method (Taken from http://www.sagewisdom.org/usersguide.html):

    THE QUID METHOD:
A ball or cylinder of rolled-up leaves is made. This is called a quid. It is to be chewed. The leaves are chewed slowly--about one chew every 10 seconds. They are kept under your tongue between chews. For half an hour keep the quid that is being chewed, and the juice that forms, in your mouth. If you can, hold it in your mouth without spitting or swallowing. Then, after the half-hour chewing time is over, spit it all out. Have a bowl to spit into, and a towel handy. Salvia juice stains carpets and other fabrics, so be sure the bowl won't tip over.
Quids can be made from either fresh leaves or dried leaves. Those made from dry leaves are less bitter. To make a quid from dried leaves, weigh out 2-8 grams of dried leaves. A gram scale accurate enough for this can be purchased for under $50. If you have no scale, count out 8 to 28 large whole dried leaves. Place the leaves in a small bowl of cool water for 10 minutes. Once the leaves are wet and have been soaking for about 10 minutes, remove the leaves from the water, squeeze the excess water out of them, and ball them up into a quid. Some people skip this soaking step when they are in a hurry, but chewing on brittle dry leaves may be unpleasant. If you wish, you can sweeten the quid with sugar, honey, Stevia extract or an artificial sweetener like Equal®. This will make it less bitter and more pleasant to chew.

If fresh leaves are used instead of dry ones, you will need from 8 to 28 large fresh leaves.

The effect of Salvia quids can probably be increased by first treating your mouth in a special way to increase its ability to absorb salvinorin A. To do this you will need a toothbrush and an alcohol/menthol containing mouthwash such as Cool Mint Listerine®, (or any other brand that contains alcohol and menthol). Gently brush the lining of your mouth, including the tissue under your tongue, and the top surface of your tongue. This removes layers of dead cells normally present. Do not brush hard enough to cause bleeding. Then rinse with the mouthwash for at least 30 seconds. Be sure to get mouthwash everywhere in your mouth, including under your tongue. Then spit out the mouthwash and rinse once with water.

You will experience very little in the first 12 to 15 minutes of chewing. Don't be misled by this. Full effects are usually felt by 30 minutes (the time you spit out the quid). They remain on this level for about 30-60 minutes more, then start to decrease. The whole experience seldom lasts longer than an hour and a half, but this varies.

if you get to know the rules of Salvia Land then you can play by them, and have a tiny bit of say in what happens. like if you expect that "they" will want you to go "there", and you know "there" is into a pillow and not something sharp, you'll be able to "go with them". or if you know that "it" doesn't belong to anyone, then you can tell "them" to stop arguing over whose "it" is. sometimes "they" will tell you that you stole "it" and that nobody else would ever do something like that. you have to remember the process of putting the salvia in the pipe, lighting it, breathing it in, and "tell" them the whole thing, or they won't believe you and they'll just yell.

it sounds like you went to one of my favorite places in Salvia Land, where everything is completely without value or judgment or seperation or identity. that is a great place to be. i've written pages and pages about the rules there.

i could go on and on about the rules... i wrote as many as i could down when i was home alone for a week :). salvia is not as chaotic as it seems at first, once you've wandered around in all the different realms a few times. but i doubt you'll ever get to the point where you can just, say, conjure up an orange elephant simply by willing it to be.

If you're smoking an extract, it's not necessary to use a torch lighter since the salvinorin A is heavily concentrated on the leaf. I've used cheap 50 cent lighters before with a 5X extract and it worked fine.

Then again, I think I'm hypersensitive to salvinorin A, as I'm able to break through on relatively small amounts of salvia, whether it be an extract or chewing leaves.

I find if theres anxiety...Well your ego fights and stays, kinda like with any psychedelic.

Never had my ego confortably dissolved enough with salvia to like it. Too fast in, I fight
