Well what do you mean by child? I and all of my friends looked at porn when we were in middle school, before the age of 18 and technically still "children". Edit: Maybe I misread the title the first time or maybe it got changed, but I thought the question was "Is it ok for children to view porn?" NOT child porn!
But what if two 16 year olds felt like taking pictures and sharing them with each other? That is still considered child porn technically but....
The big problem here is defining what is child porn. Example: Parent takes pix of his/her child naked. Parent shows pix to child. Should parent be arrested? Should child be arrested? Does it depend upon what child is doing while naked? Does it depend upon what intent the parent has showing child pic of him/herself? Does it depend upon the age of the child? Does the conception of Art, or the idea of preserving the innocence of youth mean anything anymore? Another question: Is it now illegal for a professional photographer to take a pic of a child naked? You know like those lying on the stomach, ass up photos? Or is that now illegal porn? Lucky Stripe makes a good point because when both participants in pornography or sex are underage, they have different status under the law, just like if they engage in sex. As you can see the current legal positions on kiddie porn are pretty much untenable as they make so many things into crimes that never were, and make criminals out of people who aren't. I think these types of on-the-edge situations should be prosecuted so we can either have a better defined definition, or so the existing ones can be declared unconstitutional. My own opinion is that America's Puritian morality has ruled the day long enough and it's time to get the religious fanatics out of politics so we can again have sane laws.
Partial answer: I do know that they pretty much only prosecute those who copy & DISTRIBUTE kiddie porn, so the scenarios above are pretty much not going to attract much attention. But the logic behind these scenarios is the same. It's either legal or not legal to take and possess such images. So the law needs to make up its mind!
If it were deemed ok than adults would be able to access it as well. I remember when I was 14, I wanted to actually view girls my age instead of all these older model types.
Skips right. I went through a phase when I 3-5 where I rarely wore close. I'm sure there are dozens of pictures of my naked ass running around. There should be a lot clearer lines on what child porn is and is not. Real child porn is horrific, but when the laws are vauge, things can get really troublesome. And don't think things like that couldn't be prosecuted, because theres a slim chance they could.
When I was a kid I never wore a shirt in the summer, I felt that my kids bum cheeks were for biting.... (babies fo course ) now this is odd by today's standards ..... This is the area where it "greys out" for me... I think we all know which ass up pics would be seen as porn. I'm more curious about those "iffy" areas ever being tried and charged.
Yes. The other day I read up that kids are actually very sexual. Just like us adults. Sexuality doesn't suddenly come along at the stroke of 13 years of age. I read that some babies come out having erections and here is where it gets even weirder: Boys can only ejaculate once reaching puberty where as girls can ejaculate at anytime. Eventually our kids learn about where they came from and how they came to exist. And most people have multi tv so I am sure by the age of 8, they already figured out the pin number for TVX or Redhot.
ew. I wasn't interested in sex at age 8, nor was I ready to be exposed to gratuitously sexual material like porn. And where the hell did you get 13 from, you have to be 18+ to be in porn or legally look at it in most parts of the world.
well i damd sure was. and i wasn't at all unusual to be either! now there's a lot of things i didn't entirely understand, like the mixing of pleasure and pain, how some people get turned on by being dominated, that sort of thing, that i might have had emotional problems with, but hell, children see things that are much more harmful for them all the time they live in a culture that romantacizes and rewards aggressiveness. not just in so called 'clean' media, but in every day real life. now there ARE laws, that i'm not about to risk breaking, but they ARE an arbitrary faite accompli that has nothing what so ever to do with any sort of real morality, mental and physical well being, or anything else other then totaly gratuitous 'religeous' fanatacism. =^^= .../\...
The age of consent in most states and countries is either 17 or 18. Looking at sexual images of children under those ages is wrong. Filming or taking sexual images of children under the age of consent is wrong. Having sex with children under the age of consent is wrong. Period. I don't understand what's so vague about that. And honestly, if you are man or woman that wants to have sex with kids that aren't even in high school yet, you need your head examined. You are sick. Plain and simple. I have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to the sexualization of children.
In the U.S ANY ONE under 18 is child but as soon you turn 18 they are ready to ship you to iraq to get blown up.
lets see even in the bigining man and womens found a rock hotel to have sex while the childrens play with dinosours outside .
