Does anyone know a cheap way to heat knifes up enough to take knife hits without a stove? Basically I need something that can heat them up so I can take knife hits in the dorm...... maybe a single portable burner thats cheap??

although using your brain may have worked, go out to a hardware store and buy a blowtorch [ie. a torch head+canister] wont cost more then 25$

    done.

i would post pics of my portable setup, but i need to get my hair cut, be back in a bit

never used them for knifing before, but i doubt it would be very effective/last very long, plus i'm sure those are more expensive then your typical canister/head setup

torch/jet lighters do work. they can melt a penny in about a minute. Ive used them a few times knifing.

a torch lighter costs about 10-15 dollars. and the butane refill costs $1, and fills about 5-10 times.
