I would like to remember my dreams. I cannot recall a dream ive had. I can only remember about half a dozen dreams in my life. Is there something i can do to enhance my capability of dreaming? Thanks

start questioning what's real and what's not

"is this a dream....or is this real?"

keep doing it, try to do it when you're not thinking about it though

like..."oh...hey!? is this real?" when you're just zoning out or something

i dunno if this will actually help YOU

but i've been trying to do this stuff for about a week and a half (maybe 2 weeks) to try to be able to lucid dream

and my dreams are starting to get quite vivid, not lucid (where i can actually go "okay, so i'm dreaming" and start doing my own thing) but very vivid and i remember them all ... well at least after i wake up and throughout the day

Sometimes you can remember snipets of dream right when you wake up but then forget everything once your brain becomes more active. Maybe it'll help to get into the habit keeping a dream journal right when you wake up or at least try to recap what you can remember and repeat it until it's stuck. Also I find that when you try to make sense of a dream it'll become more 'faded'.

If I want to remember a dream in the morning sometimes I think about what I want to dream about or just pleasant things that have happened from my day when I get tired and am ready for bed. Although I think when you try to make yourself remember your dreams too hard it'll backfire.

Start by getting 9.5 hours of sleep a day. Don't expect to dream if you get get 6 hours of sleep a night - chances are great that you'll be unconscious because your body needs to repair itself. If you are egotistical you may also not be able to remember your dreams because your mind may never stop thinking.
