i thought that circumsion originally started with the jewish culture. i could be wrong, but well that was my understanding though. now though, i know in america if you want your child to not be circumsized you have to request that upfront, as they automatically do it to the poor kid as soon as it's born. it's rather rare to see an uncircumsized one in the states. Talk about scary shit being taught to us And there are SOME uncircumsised men in the US... I read a report last year where the estimate was about 15% of men in the US aren't cut... If you follow Jewish history, I believe the ritual started because it was unclean to be uncircumsizes. Which, well, back in the days when they used to wander the desert and probably didn't bathe regularly it WAS unclean. However, with modern inventions such as indoor plumbing and soap, no one has an excuse for having "head cheese." And, I would think it would be even less than 15%. My first boyfriend (American) was uncircumsized (at that time i really didn't know the difference though). Every other guy I happened to see after that were all circumsized, until I met my British born husband, who is au-natural. And, personally I think the uncircumsized ones are better.
