Ok like i have been wanting to sew my own bags to keep my tarot decks in all safe, but i dont really know how to sew a bag. i m thinking of sewing something out of fabric cause i m used to working with fabric, i have made capes and dresses in the past. i dont know how to crocet or knit so that is out, but i guess working with leather is not too hard-so i have been tould. does anyone know of any sites that show how to make a tarot bag? or like even some good book recomendations on how to make one. or like if anyone does make bags themselves let me know also, cause i might end up just buying some. thanks alot
theres this really cool bag that ive been wanting to make for my tarot cards. basically take two pieces of velvet. cut them into circles of a diameter at least 6 in (depending on the size of the deck) place them so the velvety side faces out on both sides. fold over about a 1/4 in to form a nice hem to sew. punch button 2 button holes in the hem on either side. thread through some pretty decorative rope leaving extra for a handle. the end.
good idea! mine are still in the old box and i've been really needing to find it a new home so i will use them more. im thinking of making a patchwork bag with velvet and maybe trying to embroider or something on it. thanks peace
