    What does "far shot" mean?

    For example:
"and what Norwegians consider "good pizza" is a far shot from American pizza."

Does that mean "Norwegian pizza is worse than American pizza", or does it mean "American pizza is better than Norwegian pizza"...?

    very different

    can't be compared

its a far shot to compare apples and oranges

one is too different from the other to make a comparison..good or bad..its neither good nor bad only very different

    understand?

In general that sentence would mean Norwegian pizza is nothing compared to American pizza.
