    you found a shiny £1 in the pocket of an old jacket you havent worn in ages, what do you buy and why?

    Where I live has 4 or 5 "pound shops", so the choice is pretty amazing as long as you don't mind cheap crap :D


    So, just for you and this thread, I'm not going into any of them!


    Most of my cravings can be satisfied for a mere £1, and I think I'd buy bottle of mineral water and some chocolate and sit by the canal...

    soup baxters I can get two cans for a £1 tomato and butterbean and a vegetable soup

    this would be emergency soup for when your soup levels are low

    Do you recommend Baxters then? I've only ever had the lobster bisque, and that was very nice! But i'm more of a Heinz man at heart usually.

    I'd get a nail and a stick from PC world and go cleanin' the streets, the I'll hand the cans into one of those places where you get paid for your rubbish and make MORE MONEY :D

    i think i'd buy a proper pasty from the proper cornish pasty co yumm! this reminds me, i found a £20 note in dressing gown pocket this morning, i have no ides what it was doing there but its always nice when that happens

    A bag of sweets. Why in my day, you'd get several for a pound. Or you could get 100 one penny sweets. Whatever happened to them?

    I go to the poundshop and purchase recordable dvds. Because I can never get enough of dvds and two for a pound is a bargain.

    i would get it changed into 100 1p's and then make jewlery out of them and sell them for a pound each :p ooo that would be a great buisness
