I made this a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, TN seems to completely skip over the moderate part of fall - it goes right from sunny summer weather to freezy wintery weather. I like the dress anyhoo. Nevermind the girl wearing it - she makes the dress look fat! :p I'm also wearing a bandanna that matches. Boy do I know how to accesorize!

what a beautiful dress! if it's already too cold to wear it by itself, you could always put a sweater or jacket over it, with some nice thick tights. that's usually what I do so I don't have to stop wearing my summer/fall clothes in the winter.

Yeah, I'll still wear it with my hoodie (brown corduroy with patchwork, so it matches pretty well anyway!) And a flannel petticoat when it gets colder. :)

They're pleats. I do love making stuff for myself - I hardly ever get to! This year I am determined to make myself a nice hooded winter dress, and a few warm petticoats though. It's just hard to find the time between orders, gifts, and filling out stock for the website and local stores (not to mention stocking up for next year's vending season!)

Yet, what am I doing today? Tinkering with the computer of course!

Thanks! I try to keep a pretty good selection laying around, so when I finally got around to this one I just picked out the Earthiest tones I could find! :D

I love love love that dress! It's really pretty!
The weather here does the same thing...a month ago, it was insanely hot...now I'm wearing my winter clothes again. But yesterday I found a dress I had made myself that I really wanted to wear, and I threw on a pair of pants with it underneith. The dress is the same style as yours is, and I was nice and warm. The only thing that kinda sucks is that I had no good shoes to wear with it. I used to, but when our car was stolen last week, my shoes went with it, and it's too cold for flip flops now. So I had to wear my broken huge black old runners....guess I could chalk it up to a fashion statment! lol
But yeah, I love that dress! It looks awesome on you! And the bandana!
