I went to a protest against war against Irak and one against war against Afghanistan. Unfortunately those war happened anyway, but it's worth trying.

I really don't care about the war one way or the other. There are domestic issues which are more pressing here in the U.S. Like the rights of the lower classes and how we are going to protect our wilderness and farm lands from encroaching development.

The war may not be my issue, but I would support anybody who wanted to protest it.

Why were you against the war in Afghanistan?

If I was gonna protest anything about the war it would be for sending our people into any war with thier hands tied. War is supposed to be "hell" so why not get in, do it, do it hard, fast and well then get out. This should have (right or wrong) been tied up rather quickly but too much politics is getting people killed on both sides more and beyond what would have ever been if a strong attack was actually allowed.

The longer you leave anything dangerous going on the more chance for more damage, use it get it over with and put it the hell away.

Evil, unaccountable agents within government bureaucracies - often, unwittingly serving their anonymous elitist masters - have systematically and perversely made gradual, well camouflaged changes in our laws. Often, these new laws make a mockery of our Constitution. Freedoms and liberties are continuously being undermined. There is a constant erosion of our rights as sovereigns of this nation. The majority of Americans are further controlled, deceived and massively brainwashed through the manipulation of the controlled media. Sports, TV soaps, an abundance of consumer goods, immense advertising, and extensive availability of credit, keep Americans busy watching TV, sports, shopping, and in constant debt.

Awareness of what is happening in our country are being cleverly obstructed by promoting a gluttonous appetite for consumer goods and entertainment. Confused by the misinformation, and intoxicated by the euphoria of consumerism, we are dancing, like marionettes, to the tunes the elitist gangs are playing. Like the mice in "Skinner's box", we are content by the generous feeding, and are willing to accept a fate "beyond freedom or dignity" , staying well within the walls of our spiritual prisons. How quickly we forgot the looting of the Savings and Loans in the 1980's? How ironical it is that we now even vote to reinstall in public office, the same people and their accomplishes that robbed us and our children and even took our parents' retirement savings?

Many simply vote based on what they presume to be their security, whether it be physical or financial security...they just want someone to guarrantee their status in the world. Most never accept responsibility for the loss of life their decisions cause.

If the truth be known, they can't guarrantee anything. The only thing that an individual can control is how they feel about their actions and the effect their actions have on the world. No one else can affect anything but temporal effects on the world. If your stock portfolio and status are your main concern, then perhaps for a ten year period politicians can affect it. But in the long run it's your decisions that affect how you feel about yourself when you come to the end of your life. You yourself are responsible for maintaining honesty compassion and consideration. No one else can buy or guarrantee that for you.

I beleive war is the stupidest thing human invented and being pro-war is almost as stupid. I beleive democracy is best thaught by example, wich is NOT what western countries are doing.

A world without war sounds fantastic. So does a world without disease and poverty. Then there is reality.

It's true. But then I won't support something I think is wrong just because it's reality.

Here's what I'm gonna do, guys: I'm gonna make me up a posterboard sign and go out to the Columbia Icefield in Alberta, Canada with a sign that says, STOP GLACIERS. And I'm gonna march up and down there until the glaciers stop.

I think you get the point. There are fifty million American voters with shit for brains. They elected Johnson, Nixon, Reagan, George H. Bush, George W. Bush, the list goes on. And there ain't nothin you or I can do about it, except through the electoral process. The pigs have all the guns.

So chill out, get stoned, get laid, whatever. Politics isn't worth a chilly pitcher of piss, and we all know it. Especially, get stoned, get laid. You think you're gonna get laid after you pass on or something?

That hits the nail right on the head, ACYL. Thee politicians don't want a country of informed voters, they just want blind obedience.

Now that Kissinger has said it's unwinnable, I think it's a moot point. Haliburton and their ilk have become rich. Oil prices are maniputable. That's what they wanted and they got their way, while Joe sixpack was waving his flag and kissing his sons and daughters goodbye and singing the joys of "democracy" and "support our troops". Joe dropped the ball big time!

I've protested twice, both at Cindy Sheehan events. I even got to meet her, and she's a super nice lady. Really smart and surprisingly tall. Anyway I protested once last February in Houston, and at Camp Casey last Easter. I hope to protest again soon!

I hate war, but I won't protest this one. My cousin (who I love, adore and respect) fought in Iraq. Before he left he was COMPLETELY against the war. When he came home he had a COMPLETELY different view. The Iraqis that he fought wanted war, and the ones that were for peace came to the streets with praise for the American soldiers giving them the oppourtunity to do so. Before we invaded Iraq, if the people ever came together for a demonstration of peace...they would be either imprisoned or worse.

    Think about that

    PEACE
